Wild Rice Stuffing with Cranberries, Bacon and Pecans

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I realized I had not shared a new stuffing recipe I made a few weeks ago when I made a rack of pork.

Stuffing or Dressing

Traditional, modern or just different.  Every Thanksgiving the age old debate arises……..“stuffing or dressing”?  Both terms are used to describe a traditional Thanksgiving side dish,  a moist bread (or rice), seasoned with herbs and vegetables.  Many will argue that stuffing is cooked inside a turkey, while dressing is cooked along side the bird.  But, in most homes and cookbooks, the words are interchangeable…… although stuffing seems to be more prevalent in the south and east.

I don’t care what you call it…………as long as it’s delicious!

Are you getting ready for Turkey Day?  I know once Halloween’s over we all jump into Christmas mode, and Thanksgiving gets the short end of the stick, being crammed in between the two.  So it can become stressful because sometimes it seems to just “sneak up” on us.

I’m Lovin’ It – Turkey Cut-Out Cookies

First and foremost……..I HAVE to say…….I’m LOVIN’ ALL of the Pie’s linked up to Love the Pie!  You guys are awesome!! While my hubby is out hunting Turkey……I’ve been home BAKING these cute little turkey cookies!

I was cleaning out a cabinet the other day when I found a turkey cookie cutter I had never used, probably because I thought they would be WAY to complicated to decorate! lol

I have a sweet friend I wanted to send a little something to, so I thought some Turkey cookies would be a fun surprise! (she has a November birthday).

Bridget has a post where she tells you exactly how to decorate your Turkey cookies! My lucky day!! They’re not nearly as complicated as they look! and Bridget’s instructions are fantastic!!
