I doubled the recipe as I am making one for a party at work tomorrow- and I am so glad I did! This is the best beer dip I have ever made/had! I used fresh pressed garlic, dark lager beer and omitted the kosher salt – enough salt with the aged cheese and Worcester sauce. Going to serve with pretzel nuggets, crackers and carrots.

What Kind of Beer To Use In Cheese Dip
There’s one important thing to note about this cheese dip – and this might be obvious, but I’m going to say it anyway…… the flavor of Beer Cheese dip depends a LOT on the type/flavor of beer you choose.
If you want subtle beer flavor use a pale or lite beer for a sweeter dip.
For more intense flavor, use darker ale where you will enjoy the robust bitterness of the beer.
Either way, you go, choose a beer that lights up your taste buds and goes down so smoothly. If you want to skip the beer completely, just replace it with apple cider.

How To Serve Pub-Style Cheese Dip
You can serve beer cheese dip cold or warm with homemade soft pretzel bites, smeared on dilly cheese bread or baguette, your favorite crackers, hard pretzels, or even broccoli and cauliflower florets.!
If you want to serve this dip warm, simply whisk constantly in a small saucepan over low heat, or microwave on high in 1-minute intervals, stirring between sessions until the cheese dip is warm and heated through.
If you are serving this dip warm, transfer it to a mini crockpot or fondue pot and keep it on the lowest setting.
While you’re at it, whip up a batch of Beergaritas and my favorite Boilermaker Cocktail. Bottoms up!

I do believe I see a Fat Tire in the background (locally made to us)! This sounds delish. I went out with some friends earlier this year and the restaurant served something similar made with a local beer. Being gluten-free I could not try it but everyone love it! Perfect for the Super Bowl.
Mmmmm this sounds (and looks) amazing!
This looks delicious! The next time we have guests over, this will definitely be on the menu!

I made this delicious dip for St. Patricks Day. My daughter-in-law wants jalapeño poppers with this beer cheese dip inside wrapped in bacon. It’s an amazing idea don’t you think? They are about to go into the oven. I’m sure they will be a hit at her birthday dinner tonight. Our family will love them.

I made it in a crock pot. I added jalapenos. I did not care for it.
My boys especially love this recipe. Thanks for sharing it! Tastes just like at the local pub.
I REALLY did not want to whip out the food processor for this dip, but it was worth it. Really great flavor, and so smooth because of the processor. Love it.
I made this last year and everyone wants it again this year. It’s simple and delicious . Try it you’ll like it !!!!!
We made this last week to watch football and my kids are begging me to make it again for the Super Bowl! Absolutely delicious!
