I’m Lovin’ It : My 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife

Henckels Pro Chef Knife Giveawaysource

If you were around for the holidays, you may remember my Holiday Wish List, and how I said I thought a Henckels Chef’s Knife could possibly change my life.

Well fortunately for me, Santa came thru and I was right! My new knife has changed my life in the kitchen!!

I have never owned a good knife, so considering that a good chef’s knife is probably the single most important and useful tool in a kitchen, it’s no wonder it’s made such an impact on me!

Now, I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t know much about knives but I do know I’m in LOVE with the 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife I’m now using and I’m blown away at the difference a good knife can make.

I wish I could make sure you ALL had a good knife in your kitchen……….but I can make sure ONE of you has one!

I’m going to send a Henckels 8″ Chef knife (similar to the one I have) to one lucky TidyMom reader!

I would love to have a good knife. I don’t own a good one right now, but the ones that I do have are kept sharp (by my dear fiance).

I used to own a couple of great Henkel’s, but have had them taken, lost, etc. over the years. Now I just have 2 paring knives left. I would love to own another again, because they are the best!

I’m always looking for a good knife!

  8. VickiT posted on February 12, 2012 at 9:52 pm (#)

I never had good knives in my kitchen for years but you are SO correct!! Cooking is so much more fun when you have a good knife and you are less apt to cut yourself if you have a good, sharp knife because it slices through things like butter so no pushing and having the chance to cut yourself. I do have some good knives but I’d sure love this Henkels knife.

I would love to tell you what an awesome knife I have. But I don’t. I literally just told my Hubs this weekend that we needed to remedy that. Here’s hoping I get one in the mail. And if not, thanks for a great suggestion.

I remember feeling like a real adult when I bought my first set of knives after moving into my first apartment for $100. I still have and use these knives but they honestly aren’t that great. I’ve heard one good knife can make all the difference!

What an awesome giveaway! I’d love to have a real, amazing knife! I do have one of those “bottom of the line” henkels sets. It just isn’t the same!

I don’t personally own a good knife – I’ve been saving up (it hasn’t been urgent because my current roommate has a half-decent one that I’m allowed to use), but this looks like a great opportunity!

Great knife ! I never seem to have the right knife ! Would love a new knife.

I have a set of Cutco knives, and I like them, but I’ve heard Henckel’s are better? An 8″ chefs knife would be the perfect one to try out! Thanks for the opportunity to win a lil’ sumthin. 😀

  18. Bethany posted on February 13, 2012 at 4:46 pm (#)

I don’t have any GREAT knives, but I do own a couple ceramic ones that are great! But I have been craving Henckles knives! Hope I win!!

I don’t have any good knives in my kitchen. It makes cooking much less enjoyable. I would love to have even one good knife to use! This would be awesome to win :)

  21. Lee posted on February 14, 2012 at 7:07 am (#)

I would love to have a GOOD chefs knife! All we own is a lot of sharp JUNK! Being on a tight budget with 4 children to care for limits what we can buy, regardless of our wants…and most of the time our needs! BTW, I love your page!! Thanks so much for everything you do for your readers.

  22. Natalie posted on February 15, 2012 at 9:17 am (#)

Would love this knife! I don’t think I own one THIS good. :)

  23. Nancy posted on February 15, 2012 at 10:12 am (#)

  24. Lisa posted on February 15, 2012 at 11:32 am (#)

Thanks for sharing, Cheryl. I don”t own any really good knives; they’re on my bucket list of “things I”d like to have”. Our knife drawer consists of a mix of mis-matches. The result of recently joining two lives together, we are newlyweds!
It’s nice to have insight from real people like yourself, actually using the product. I’d love to win and clean out that drawer! What a way to say i was able to start my set. Thanks for the chance!

  25. LAURA M. posted on February 15, 2012 at 12:00 pm (#)

We totally need a good knife too. (and then I need to be taught how to take care of it properly!) :) Thanks for the giveaway!

We had a great cutco knife, but it was my daughter’s so she took it when she moved out. Now all we have are those cheapos that don’t always do the trick when cutting some things like potatoes and other things that have some volume to them. Thanks for the giveway, my husband would love to win this !!! He loves cooking and it would be nice if he had a good tool to do it with.

  27. Jaime O posted on February 15, 2012 at 11:44 pm (#)

My collection of knives is sad. I would love to have a good one!

  28. Caylie posted on February 16, 2012 at 1:24 am (#)

I have a bunch of sad excuses for knives.
Even though we registered for some awesome ones for our wedding – we got a cheaper set.
Which I thought was fine at the time… but they stink.
A good knife would be amazing!

  29. Josh posted on February 16, 2012 at 2:30 am (#)

A new knife would be awesome!!!!

  30. Debi posted on February 16, 2012 at 1:53 pm (#)

I purchased my first good knife last summer and can’t live without it! It’s a bread knife and gets a lot of use at our house!

  31. Craigc posted on February 16, 2012 at 3:30 pm (#)

I have always loved the Henkel knives! I have a paring knife from them I use every time I’m in the kitchen.

  32. jenn posted on February 16, 2012 at 7:55 pm (#)

I do not own a lifetime good knife. I love buying knives but i can only afford the $20 knives that last only a couple yrs. Im afraid if i did buy a nice set i wouldnt be able to shop for knives anymore
