One of my quickest “go to” desserts is cobbler. I usually have everything on hand, you can use canned fruit, fresh or frozen – and so many different varieties of fruit are good in a cobbler.
Saturday night we were having family over for Flank Steak Sandwiches, so I made a blackberry cobbler from frozen blackberries that were picked out at the family cabin last summer.
Cobbler is quick, easy, looks great, and taste even better with a scoop of vanilla icecream!!
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 cup Bisquick
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cup of blackberries
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
- Mix first 4 ingredients and pour into 9×12 (or 8×8) pan or dish.
- Mix berries with sugar and pour over batter. Do not stir or mix berries into batter.
- Bake 40 mins at 375 degrees.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla!
