- Whisk the balsamic chicken marinade ingredients together in a small bowl.

- Arrange the seasoned chicken tenders and veggies on a sheet pan and sprinkle Parmesan cheese.
- Roast for about 30 minutes* in a preheated oven.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve. Buon appetite!
*Caution: Tuscan chicken tenders must be cooked to 165°F. Check with a meat thermometer or by cutting into the thickest portion of the chicken tender and ensure the juices run clear and the flesh is not pink.
Recipe Notes And Tips
- You can use any chicken, but boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins are convenient and reduce cooking time. Larger cuts of chicken, like breasts or thighs, will need more time to reach 165°F.
- A Tuscan chicken recipe is particularly welcoming to other vegetables and combinations, especially sliced zucchini, mushrooms, and onions.
- Remember to account for dense or thick vegetables when adding to your sheet pan chicken recipe. Some vegetables will require a longer roasting time.
- If you don’t have balsamic vinegar, you can use red or white wine vinegar for a similar flavor profile. Check out the “How To Create A Good Substitute Balsamic Vinegar” section below for more detailed information.
- Dried parsley is suitable for the garnish if you don’t have fresh on hand; use sparingly, as dried herbs are usually more concentrated in taste.

Recipe FAQs
Yes, you can make this balsamic chicken recipe ahead of time. Before roasting, prepare and marinate the chicken and vegetables in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. You can make the marinade and prep the veggies the night before, then mix them in a zip-top bag in the morning to marinate a few hours for optimum flavor. Over-marinating ingredients can sometimes cause them to break down, especially delicate vegetables.
You can use chicken thighs or chicken breasts instead of chicken tenders in this sheet pan recipe. Chicken thighs will take longer than chicken breasts. By pounding or butterflying chicken breast, the roasting time should be about the same as chicken tenders.
Yes, you can add or substitute vegetables in a sheet pan chicken meal. Asparagus and broccoli are great subs for green beans. Some other options/additions include multi-colorful bell pepper strips, halved Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, onions, and sliced zucchini. – Just note that some veggies cook faster.

How To Create A Good Substitute Balsamic Vinegar
Balsamic vinegar is known for its depth of flavor and natural sweetness, which balances beautifully with its tartness and acidity. The following substitutions can provide similar flavor notes. However, they may not perfectly capture the depth and complexity of balsamic vinegar. Feel free to experiment with the quantities and taste to get the flavor just right.
- Balsamic Glaze: Balsamic glaze is a concentrated form of balsamic vinegar cooked down to a syrupy consistency. The glaze is sweeter and thicker but makes an excellent substitute for balsamic vinegar in a dish like Tuscan chicken, with a sweet and tangy flavor.
- Red Wine Vinegar: Red wine vinegar is a good substitute for balsamic vinegar because it has a similar acidity and tartness. To mimic the sweetness of balsamic vinegar, you can add a small amount of honey or maple syrup.
- White wine vinegar: White wine vinegar is less acidic than red wine vinegar, so it will not have the same tartness as balsamic vinegar. However, you can add a small amount of molasses or brown sugar to white wine vinegar to add sweetness and depth of flavor.
- Grape Juice: Grape juice is another excellent substitute for balsamic vinegar with that sweet-tart flavor. It is not as acidic as balsamic vinegar, so add a small amount of vinegar to balance the sweetness and get a closer overall flavor profile
