I’m Lovin’ It : My 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife

If you were around for the holidays, you may remember my Holiday Wish List, and how I said I thought a Henckels Chef’s Knife could possibly change my life.
Well fortunately for me, Santa came thru and I was right! My new knife has changed my life in the kitchen!!
I have never owned a good knife, so considering that a good chef’s knife is probably the single most important and useful tool in a kitchen, it’s no wonder it’s made such an impact on me!
Now, I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t know much about knives but I do know I’m in LOVE with the 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife I’m now using and I’m blown away at the difference a good knife can make.
I wish I could make sure you ALL had a good knife in your kitchen……….but I can make sure ONE of you has one!

Oh how wonderful to have a chef knife and a Henkel @ that-infact just a knife that cuts would be a real bonus- May I share what I am loving this week are pompom makers made by clover they are fun easy and you can really be creative with these

I have a hanckels knife- not quite as nice as this one but I love it non the less, it’s my go-to knife for any project from crushing garlic to mincing onions to straining liquid out of cans.
I have a santoku knife that I ADORE!

We got a knife set at our wedding and we use our chef’s knife all the time,but a second one would be great so we aren’t always having to sharpen the one we have!
I have an old knife from my days working as a butcher 25 years ago but it’s time for a new one. Prob. 30+ years old and it looks it from all the sharpening, etc. I’d love to win this one.
The nicest knife I own is a Wolfgang Puck, but I’m sure it’s not as nice as this one. I sure would love to try it 🙂

I desperately need a good knife. Unfortunately my knives are in desperate need of updating and I would love this knife! I have a regular chef knife (forgot the brand). It’s my go-to knife for every slicing job. Just needs a little sharpening from time to time but overall, it does what I want from a knife.
I have an 8″ 4 star Henckels it is not as nice as the one you are featuring. I love the feel of the riveted handle in my hand though. I have a couple of smaller Wusthof knives with that type of construction. Until I had a better knife, I didn’t think it made much difference – a knife is a knife right? Wrong! A good knife will change your kitchen life!!

after struggling with terrible knives for 7 years my hubby and I asked for a knife block set for Christmas. I am in heaven! I can only imagine how happy I’d be with a “real” knife!

Wow!! What a very generous & very useful gift to give! I personally do not own any good knives, but love to cook & bake for my family. Incidentally, my family is in LOVE with the homemade bread (recipe) that you very graciously shared. It has become an instant staple for our family meals – THANKS!!

One of my good friends gifted me with a Wusthof chefs knife at the beginning of our hunting lodge season. It has been a life saver. I would love to have an 8 also!!! There are always two of us in the kitchen cooking, and it would be lovely to have two good knives.

My handiest and oldest knife is a Wusthof paring knife I’ve had for ages that still sharpens up nicely. I do not, however, have a nice butchers or large knife.
