If you were around for the holidays, you may remember my Holiday Wish List, and how I said I thought a Henckels Chef’s Knife could possibly change my life.
Well fortunately for me, Santa came thru and I was right! My new knife has changed my life in the kitchen!!
I have never owned a good knife, so considering that a good chef’s knife is probably the single most important and useful tool in a kitchen, it’s no wonder it’s made such an impact on me!
Now, I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t know much about knives but I do know I’m in LOVE with the 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife I’m now using and I’m blown away at the difference a good knife can make.
I wish I could make sure you ALL had a good knife in your kitchen……….but I can make sure ONE of you has one!
I’m going to send a Henckels 8″ Chef knife (similar to the one I have) to one lucky TidyMom reader!

I have a good electric knife sharpener. My knives don’t hold an edge well but it is easy to resharpen them. I would love to have at least one good knife that knows how to hold an edge. An educated knife, if you will. Like yours.
I own several small Henckel Knives & love them, But I would sincerely like an 8″ Henckel Chef’s Knife. It would make my day … ♥
I have a set of Tristar knives I’ve used for at least 20 yrs that I absolutely love. I don’t have a bigger knife like this that I love though so I it would be great to add to my set!
My mom gave me Cutco steak knives as a housewarming gift five years ago and they are great. But the only other knives I have are from my wedding (13+ years ago) that came in a set and don’t really cut. Kind of defeats the purpose. 😉 I need new ones badly. xoxo
I don’t own a good knife. At one of the jobs I worked, we used Henckels and they are incredible knives! I’d love to have one of my own. 🙂
I have a set of Chicago Cutlery knives that my parents got me for Christmas one year. They cut OK when they are sharpened, but I’m not crazy about the wooden handles. My other set of knives I bought from one of those demonstrators in Sam’s Club! So, I would LOVE to have a good knife!
I have a set of Henckles knives in a butcher block from our wedding 14 yrs ago and they are sufficient. But I sure could use a new one!
I have a pretty decent Pampered Chef knife, but always looking for good knives~!
I don’t personally own a good chef knife. My dad has one but once I move out, I’ll need one of my own. I’d love to win this!
Great Giveaway Cheryl! I LOVE my Santoku style chef’s knife, but it sure would be great to have another one!
My hubby is always on me about needing a good chefs knife. It would be awesome to surprise him with this 🙂 thanks for letting us try!
I have a couple of halfway decent knives but nothing like this one!
I have many knives…BUT there is only one that I always dig for and it is over 30 years old and still works like knew. The wooden handle has seen better days for sure..but hubby sharpens it up for me all the time and it’s so nice when you are chopping and you have a good knife!
Thanks for hosting and for the great giveaway.
I have a set of Paula Deen Knives that I bought from the Food Network Shop. They do a good job; good enough that I have bagged the El Cheapo set that I had been lugging around for about 6 years. It’s amazing to have knives that cut whatever you put the blade to, including your finger. But, I can always use a good chef’s knife.
I do not have a good knife but would love one!!! 🙂
I love henckles knives! We have a set that we got for our wedding 10 years ago and still going strong. Would love to add this one to the block!
The knife I use is a Silvermark, it has seen it’s better days! I would love to win this knife, I actually have a Chef’s knife on my birthday list!
I have never had a great knife of any kind and would love to win this one
I do not have a good knife and it makes me sad!! The set I do currently have one of the knives broke while cutting cheese.. seriously.
I bought some great knives a few years ago, loved them, too. Some of which were hinckle knives! My husband thought he would surprise me one day and bought one of the slide-a-knife sharpeners and pushed waaaay to hard on the knife and ruined all of the blades, needless to say I through that tool away and tried to fix them with the knife sharpener that chefs use, they are still not the same as when I originally bought them, but, I wished I still had them back again. Love hinckles just like you do! In fact, I have a lot of hinckles in my family line, always wondered if I was related! Would be awesome!
I do not own a good knife like this one. I use a really cheap one and I am always complaining to my husband about how I need some good knives! It would be fabulous to win a great one like this!! =)
I use the Wiltshsire knives a lot, they have been a favorite for many years.
Looks like I didn’t spel henckles right, this iPad likes to spell its own words! Oops
I have a Henckles paring knife and I love it. I’m sure it would be nice to have a Henckles Chef Knife. I would love to win this.
I so do not own a really good knife! I have heard that it makes all the difference when you have a good quality knife. I want one!! Would just love love to win this one!
I have a set that we bought at Menards several years ago. I started sharpening them and realized that they work much better that way. But I’d love to see the different that a really good quality knife would make in the kitchen. Thank you for the giveaway.
I have a Shun that I really like but it has a big chunk missing out of the middle of the blade. Please don’t ask… let’s just say it reduced me to tears the day it happened and it was my own fault!
I don’t have any good knives, we are still using the knife (Cheap) set that a friend of my family gave us as a wedding gift 27yrs ago. The knives set in a wooden stand and is held together by a plastic band that broke a few weeks ago, could really use a good knife.
No good knives in this house, I do have a friend who I occasionally cook with that believes in a good knife, it always makes me wish I had some. 😉
I have a Henckel’s chef knife that I use…not the exact same one, but I really do love it!
Just last summer, I purchased a Cutco paring knife, which I love!
i have ONE good knife, that’s supposed to be a tomato knife, but i use it for everything. this would definitely come in handy! thanks.
I’ve NEVER owned a good knife – I would absolutely LOVE to have one – not only am I a photographer but I love to cook. Oh how this would change my life!
Thanks for the contest!
Joy
Great giveaway darlin’! Oh I love that knife. I would adore a new beauty like that 😀
A knife like that would save SO MUCH time… and make me feel like a pro. Glad you’re loving it! Keep up the great posts! 🙂
I love to cook, but my knives are so old. I could really use this.
I want to avoid constantly sharpening my dull knives. This knife looks amazingly dangerous 😀
I don’t have a set of knives that I absolutely love! I hate to buy items that I haven’t tried! Would love to test a set that would make chopping…cutting…etc. food in the kitchen easier! We use our kitchen all day long!
I do have some nice knives but I’m sure not as nice as those…just glad for some sharp ones when I need them! I’ve never been able to “test drive” one like this!
Yes, I love Henckels. I only have a paring knife and would love to have the chef’s knife.
I’m happy your Santa came thru — mine didn’t take the HINT and I am still without a good knife — great giveaway !!!
I’m so jealous…what a great gift! I have a Santoku knife that I currently use for just about everything but it was a cheap one, so not nearly as nice as this Henckel!
I do not own a good knife, but I sure would like to win this one!!!
I don’t own one of these beauties, just always wanted one. Love, love, love to cook and watch all the chefs on the cooking shows use them. Thanks for the opportunity to join in the fun!
My knife collection is pathetic, out of which my favorite is Flair knife (Indian brand I guess). i would love to win this knife. thanks.
Definitely still in a state of good-knife-less-ness. It’s very sad.
I purchased some Cutco knives right before we were married….42 years ago. It’s time for new ones!!!
I have a Faberware knife (not expensive) that I like because it’s light weight and is a good fit for my small hands. I’d love to have an expensive knife to add to my collection of cheapies though!
I have been wanting a new knife for so long but the price for a good quality knife is just beyond my buget. Would I love his knife? YES YES YES
I have a knife that I bought at an Asian market. It is from Thailand. I love it. But who wouldn’t another good knife? I would certainly put it to good use.
