Crushing on My Favorite Things July

Happy July! I hope you had a wonderful and safe 4th of July!  Did you watch fireworks? We had a nice relaxing day, had lunch at Billy G’s Kirkwood and enjoyed fireworks in the field right next to our house.

June was HOT, Humid and zoomed by!  Our youngest is home from college for the summer and she’s interning with me and we are having a lot of fun working together and I’m amazed at how much we are getting done! She is doing a lot of behind the scenes work on the blog, but she’s also doing some writing.

My husband an I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary a few weeks ago.  I love our life together and it just keeps getting better! 

For Father’s Day we went to a Dine-In theater and saw the movie Gotti with John Travolta. Save your money, it was not good at all (Rotten Tomatoes gave it a ZERO).  Also, we were not impressed with the dine-in experience at the theater.  Service was terribly slow (we didn’t get our bucket of popcorn until the movie was half over, and that was after asking where it was and were told they were terribly busy!). Also already over-priced movie theater food it is even more over-priced, with no way to get food any other way (there was no counter to just go get your own food).

I recently bought this mascara and I’m really liking it! It makes my lashes look longer and fuller.

Yesterday I picked this up.  I’ve heard so many rave reviews I can’t wait to try it!

Forget 10,000 steps a day.  This study says three 10-minute brisk walks a day is what you need.

I can’t get enough of this salad, I’ve been making it with pecans and I picked up a strawberry vinaigrette.

GO MAKE THESE!! You can thank me later ???? Sandwich Brownie Cookies with Cookie Dough Frosting.

This burger has me drooling. And I think this no-bake treat needs to happen at our house soon!

Have you watched the documentary The Staircase on Nextflix?  What do you think? Do you think he did it?  I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think there’s enough evidence to convict.
