I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

I already “liked” you on FB and now I “like” irobot too!

Cleaning my floors is a multi-step process:
1. sweep tiles (especially near litter boxes)
2. vacuum any cat hair that didn’t get picked up
3. use a swiffer wet jet
4. paper towel and all purpose cleaner for any items the wet jet wasn’t able to scrub properly
it takes over an hour each time- I try to minimize my floor cleaning routine to once a month by having guests take their shoes off at the door and wearing specific indoor sandals in the house. Helps out a bit but this IRobot will help a lot!! Pick me please!

I have a huge amount of white tile everywhere in my house. I sometimes use the shark steam cleaner on the tile. Other times, it just seems easier to get on my hands and knees and do it by hand. I hate how fast it gets dirty and cleaning the massive white tile is a dreaded chore. I would LOVE the iRobot Scooba!!! Save me from the white tile nightmare.

I clean the floors on my hands and knees which is really hard because I have RSD winning this would truly be wonderful
I would love to win one. I have to sweep the floor and then get on my hands and knees to clean them with a wash cloth.
I use a mop I picked up at Walmart and I admit I don’t think it gets my floors as clean as I would like so I would love the little robot to do it for me. 🙂
I use a mop and bucket or my shark steam mop. I would love one of these.

I clean on my hands and knees (have for too many years to count which is why I have problems with my knees now). 🙂
What a wonderful giveaway! I think I need one. Currently, I clean my floor by sweeping it first, then mop it and wait for it to try. This scooba would be a big help.

I absolutely HATE cleaning the floors, which is why they don’t get cleaned nearly as often as the should. This would be such a lifesaver!

I still clean my floors the old fashion way, on my hands and knees, because I can’t fine a mop that I like. I use vinegar, tea and dawn. Would love to find something that gets all the spots.
first I have to sweep or use an electric vac on my white tile floors (which are always a disaster between my 2 boys and our shedding black dog) then I use the Shark steam mop. I used to have a Roomba and would LOVE to try the Scooba!

I am not the OCD mom I used to be or wish I still was. While pregnant for my 3rd child at the age of 31 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This has made it more difficult to do daily chores like I used to. To clean my floors now I use the swiffer weekly, and scrub on my hands and knees twice a month. One of these robots would be an amazing big help to me.
I actually don’t mind cleaning floors. We have sturdy hardwood floors that aren’t too bad to clean, but we get muddy puppy every time it rains or snows so there are some months when I don’t even try to mop. It won’t last 10 minutes anyway. Needless to say, this little iRobot just might be the best friend I never knew I needed. =)

With 3 dogs I “Swiffer” my floors everyday. Vacuum about every other day. For my tile, especially in the kitchen I spot clean when needed and mop once a week. Wood floors, and this is why I love my wood floors, really only need to be cleaned every couple of weeks. All the carpet is upstairs and it gets vacuumed every darn day!
I use a little Bissel vacuum instead of sweeping and then I use Swiffer Wet. Thanks for this chance to win!
I clean with Switter Wet jet. It works but I don’t like the expense of the cleaner and the pads. I also don’t really know what’s in the cleaner!
