I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

With mostly hardwood floors and some rugs it’s a lot of mopping and vacuuming. Some day I will have a better vacuum that isn’t such a struggle. Just picked up the Rubbermaid reveal and I must say that is an awesome product if you haven’t tried it. I don’t enjoy mopping but I like using the reveal one. Between the dog and kids there is always something to clean up. I wish I could say that I have the neat gene like you. Alas I’m pretty sure I’m your polar opposite. I like things clean but I’m pretty sure my right brain prevents me from truly having a neat house. I could use all the help available! Like the irobot. 😉
Clean my floors with a broom and vacuum.
I use a vacuum and a steam mop

If I can have someone or something else clean my floors for me, I say Yeah! I have a floor cleaner, but I only use it when the dogs and kids are out of the house. This irobot would mean I could also leave the house while it cleans.

I use a mop, and it doesn’t do a great job, and it’s a job I HATE! I’d love to win this prize so I can dump my mop.
I don’t wash my floors as often as I should be I just use an old fashioned mop…my daughter is responsible for vacuuming but not mopping. 2/3 of main floor is hard surface….this would be AWESOME!!!

I try everything- swiffer, vacuums, it never stay clean for very long!
Quick wipe ups with a dish rag when needed and on my knees with a bucket and brush, but my knees don’t like me when I do. Needless to say, it doesn’t get done very often.
I have all wood floors. I clean them either with my swiffer or a regular mop. I hate cleaning the floors! I’ve always wanted always wanted something like the irobot scooba but couldn’t afford it.
I vacuum at Least twice a day and mop my tile and wood floors once a day which the whole house. I have 3 large Mastiffs and a couple small dogs. All rescues and these big guys can make a mess. Then throw in teenagers!
My vacuum gets a work out. We buy have to buy a new one roughly every 2 years.

I clean my floors witg a vacuum and an old mop. I would love love love an upgrade!!
I mop my floors with a mop and bucket. Usually a little pine sol in the bucket. I HATE it. I have FOUR boys, that are between the ages of 8 and 2, so really, my floors need to be washed daily. They don’t GET washed daily though. This would be an amazing thing to add to my home.
I need this! We just moved and I don’t have any supplies to clean my floor yet! This would be pretty darn amazing with a 4 year old! (she knows how to dirty a floor quickly!)
