I’m Lovin’ It : My 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife

If you were around for the holidays, you may remember my Holiday Wish List, and how I said I thought a Henckels Chef’s Knife could possibly change my life.
Well fortunately for me, Santa came thru and I was right! My new knife has changed my life in the kitchen!!
I have never owned a good knife, so considering that a good chef’s knife is probably the single most important and useful tool in a kitchen, it’s no wonder it’s made such an impact on me!
Now, I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t know much about knives but I do know I’m in LOVE with the 8″ Henckels Chef’s Knife I’m now using and I’m blown away at the difference a good knife can make.
I wish I could make sure you ALL had a good knife in your kitchen……….but I can make sure ONE of you has one!

a good knife is essential in the kitchen, I have a cutco knife and it’s my favorite 🙂 but I could always use another good knife!
I have a couple good knives (but all passed down to me), nothing new and special of my own! Would love to own this.
We got a Henckles knife set for a wedding gift and they are by far the best knives I have ever used! If I won I would give it as a gift to my parents as they are still using the same knives from when I lived at home! (They are horrible)
I bought a great one, then my husband attempted to cut through a bone for the dog.. Needless to say, I don’t have a good knife anymore….
I love, love, LOVE my Henckel Santuco Knife! Since I got it 2 years ago, I hardly use anything else.
Nope, no good knives for me. My mother has a few past down from her mother, just as sharp as it was 50 years ago.
I’m still awaiting the day I get to own a *good* knife 🙂
I do own a couple of Wüsthof knives (the tomato knife is my favorite), but the one I use the most is my inexpensive Forschner santoku.
In the 16 years I’ve been married I have never owned a good kitchen knife.
I really need a good chef’s knife for my kitchen! I have a cheap farberware chef’s knife which I have to sharpen every week, and could only imagine what a difference a good quality one would make!

Come March 1st, I will have no knives at all. I’ll be moving out of my Mother’s place and into my own condo, the knives that I have been using for the past year stays at her house 🙁
Got some good knives from my sis last year but I have always wanted a Henckel knife.
I have a Chicago Cutlery paring knife I like to use, the others I have are garbage!

After 41 years of marriage you would think I would own several good kitchen knives–but no–I have one paring knife from a church holiday sale that is quite nice and several old, dull, mismatched knives from here and there. I would love to own a really great knife like this…

I don’t have any “good” kitchen knives. Every time that my mom comes over and is cooking at my house I can hear her in my kitchen saying, “you don’t have any decent knives in this kitchen. Y’all need to buy a good set of knives.” I know I’ve heard her say that at least 50 times. So, yes I need to win this knife so bad. Thanks for a great giveaway!

I love my Henckels Chef Knife… Unfortunately its no longer 8inches long… my husband tried to pry something or cut something that was still frozen, and the tip broke… so now my 8inch knife has a 6inch blade as the wonderful knife sharpening place in the mall was able to reshape the tip (but I do not like it as much as the original knife!)
I have a set of Rachael Ray knives that I love. They are a set of 5 knives with a butcher’s block.
I have two sizes of inexpensive chef’s knives that I got two Christmases ago. They aren’t nearly as nice as yours and get dull rather quickly, but they are way better than anything I had before that. I use them all the time. I wouldn’t mind having a really nice one to use!

Oh yes, a good chef’s knife is very important to get the job done right (and fast) in the kitchen. Henckels Chef’s Knife is my favorite and I do own one….I should say, my husband owns one. He was the one who told me about how good the Henckels Chef’s Knife is back when we were dating. 🙂 Of course, I agree 100%! I use it almost everyday for more than 10 years now. I love it!

I own the Henckles Santoku 7″ and it’s my #1 go-to knife! I’ve always wanted their chef’s knife, too!
I am lucky enough to have a brother who started my “good knife” collection for me. He bought me a high end Japanese santoku knife and it is fabulous. It’s the only knife I’ll use to slice blocks of cheese. My husband used the knife a few times and realized how ineffective our knives were and has since bought me several Henckels knives that I love. I’ve got a chef’s knife, utility knife, bread knife, paring knife and a cleaver. Although nothing compares to a quality knife, I would never buy one for myself. I’m too frugal. So I appreciate that I’ve got people who love me who will spoil me. You can never have too many good knives!
I would give this knife to my mom should I win. She is still using either a big meat cleaver (I was afraid of it when I was a kid) or a pairing knife! Thanks for hosting the linky and for the giveaway!

My best knife is an 8″ chef’s knife from pampered chef. It’s the best one I own because it’s the only one that stays sharp. It has a built in sharpener in the storage case. I’ve never owned a Henckles, I’d love to start a collection. Thanks for offering this give-way, that’s so very generous of you.
I have a Pampered Chef paring knife that is my go to knife, as it is the sharpest I own.

How wonderful to have a really good knife! My favorite knife was one I found! on the road. I keep thinking I hope no one used it to murder someone! But by now, surely all the DNA has worn off! lol

I don’t have a good knife but would love one of these! I was recently at a friends and helped her prepare dinner by chopping up veggies for a salad and she had an awesome knife which made the prep work so much faster.
