This week was a crazy tough week. Filled with so many mixed emotions, from joy, to sympathy, to love and community, to frustration and back to sympathy again.
That’s a LOT to take in, in one week! I hope many of you were able to enjoy a ‘peanut butter pie‘ with your families. If you missed it, Todd and Diane, the incredible team of White on Rice, did their ‘thing’ and put together an extraordinary video tribute to Mikey, Jennie and how the the food blogging community rallied in support.
This morning it was such a welcome relief to sit at my computer with a steaming cup of coffee and enjoy what all have you have been up to! You all inspire me ………..here’s a few that caught my eye this week.
Peanut Butter Banana Cream Pie Parfaits – I want to devour the page! @ Family Fresh Cooking

A week that ran the full gamut of emotions indeed. Wonderful wrap up Cheryl.
My son, Logan and I were able to share a peanut butter pie in honor of Jennie and Mikey with members of our church on Sunday. I wasn’t sure I would be able to comply with the request due to slightly injuring my back on Friday afternoon, but Logan saved the day. He made the pie on Saturday evening for Sunday’s gathering. He is 13 and amazing. So thanks for sharing your recipe and giving us a memory to share in our own kitchen of honor of a great love. . what a teachable moment.
Wow – what fabulous ideas. I always love seeing all of your favorites!! Thanks for including my covered button pendants with your picks. You made my day!
