What is a Frosé Cocktail?

There are many different variations of the frosé cocktail, but one thing they all have in common is blending rosé wine with fruit and ice to make the most amazing boozy slushy.

Lots of recipes often switch up adding different types of alcohol to mix with the wine, and some even add lime juice or simple syrup to add more flavor.

No matter how it’s mixed up, there’s always one agreeing opinion and it’s that no summer is complete without relaxing with a nice cold glass of frosé in hand.

How to Make The Best Peach Frosé

Making a homemade peach frosé is the easiest way to step up your at-home cocktail game without having to buy a bunch of fancy bar tools you’ll never use. Almost all you need is a couple of bottles of alcohol, some frozen fruit, and a blender to get the summer fun started.

To get started, just add the frozen peaches, rosé, rum, honey, and ice into a high powered blender. Once everything is ready to go in the blender, you’ll blend on high until well combined and smooth. After blending until smooth, pour into a chilled wine glass and serve immediately with fresh peach slices and mint.

Can I Make this Frosé Slushie with Different Fruit?

Absolutely! This summer peach frosé slushie can easily be adjusted with any fruit in place of the frozen peaches. Here are a few of my favorite flavors:

  • Mixed Berries (Strawberry, raspberry, blackberry)
  • Strawberry
  • Blueberry
  • Apricot
  • Blackberries
  • Raspberry
  • Mango
  • Pineapple

To change the flavor, simply replace the frozen peaches with the same amount of any other frozen fruit of your choice.

Tips For Making A Delicious Homemade Peach Frosé

Choose your alcohol wisely: By no means do you need to buy the most expensive alcohol on the shelf, just to make a peach frosé, but for a truly amazing homemade frosé, you want to have at least mid-range options with the right flavor profiles.

  • Rosé: Choose a hearty and bold rosé like a pinot noir merlot rosé. These are both more of a dry rosé that will help balance out the sweetness of the fruit. A sweeter rosé might make the drink overly sweet.
  • Rum: It is VERY important you make sure to get WHITE rum. You do not want to pour spiced, or dark rum into this peach frosé. It will not turn out well. Something like Bacardi white rum will work great for this recipe.

Use frozen fruit: An important factor in making sure this peach frosé comes out with that perfectly chilled slushy consistency is making sure your fruit is frozen. Using frozen fruit allows the mixture to chill when blended without watering it down with a lot of ice.

If you are in a bind, you can make fresh fruit work, you will just need to add extra ice, and know that the overall flavor and consistency might turn out different than the original.

Don’t over-blend: Since we’re not blending any overly dense ingredients, you shouldn’t have to spend more than a minute blending everything together. Over blending will begin to melt the frozen fruit or ice, so stick to a blend time of one minute or less for best results.
