Dipper Options:
When it comes to a dip as classic as this spinach artichoke dip, your options for dippers are almost endless. I personally like to use something pretty sturdy, like a toasted baguette slice so I don’t end up with broken bits swimming in the dip. If you plan to use something like a tortilla chip, I suggest you spoon the dip onto the chip to avoid any breakage.
Here are my favorite dipper choices.
toasted (or untoasted) baguette slices
Tortilla chips, or pretzels
Raw veggies, like carrots, celery, or cauliflower

This spinach artichoke dip is one of those recipes that will give you a restaurant-quality flavor without all of the hassles. From start to finish, you can have it on the table ready to devour in just over 30 minutes.
To make the recipe yourself, just preheat oven to 350° F, then using a large bowl and a wooden spoon mix spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, cheddar, sour cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, mustard, garlic, hot sauce, and a little salt and pepper until well combined.
Once your ingredients are combined, add the mixture to an 8-inch cast-iron skillet (or greased medium-sized baking dish). Top with remaining mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan. Tips For Making The Best Spinach Artichoke Dip
- Fresh or frozen spinach: To use frozen spinach instead of fresh, simply let your spinach defrost and squeeze dry it.
- Soften the cream cheese: Try to thaw in advance by setting the cream cheese on the counter for a few hours. It will make the recipe come together quickly if you don’t have to stop to microwave thaw the cream cheese for the spinach artichoke dip.
- Make it in the slow cooker: Need the stove to cook other food? No problem! Simply mix up your ingredients, spread mixture into the bottom of your slow cooker and cook on low for about 2 hours stirring halfway through. Top with cheese before serving.
- Reheat the leftovers: Place small portions in the microwave and heat for 30 seconds, stir, then heat at 15-second intervals until heated through.

To Serve:
I love to serve this dip along with a few other appetizers, and cocktails to make for the perfect tapas party night. You can also make this into a meal, or more filling appetizer adding your favorite protein source, like grilled chicken.
To store:
Wait for the dip to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container to store for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator. If you want to freeze the spinach artichoke dip, you’ll want to freeze the unbaked mixture and bake just before serving. The unbaked mixture will last in an airtight container for up to 3 months in the freezer, or up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
