Don’t be surprised if you make this fudge wreath and discover you have way more friends than you used to!

Be sure to make a batch for yourself!

I first saw this Five Minute Fudge Wreath on the Rachel Ray Show several years ago, and every year we make several to give away!

This is a perfect Holiday Gift for your neighbors, friends and co-workers.  I promise that whoever you give this to will love you forever!

How to make a Five Minute Fudge Wreath

This is all you need to make five minute fudge ! (full recipe at the end of the post)

Place chocolate and peanut butter morsels and milk in a heavy pot and stir until morsels are melted and milk is combined.

Be sure to save the empty condensed milk can!

Line a round cake pan with plastic wrap, and give it a light coat of cooking spray.  Cover the empty milk can with plastic wrap and place in the center of cake pan.

Spoon fudge into pan around the can, making sure to center the can if it drifts.  The fudge will start to set, so quickly garnish with “holly” made from cut candies (have them cut ahead of time).  I sometimes sprinkle red or green sugar over the fudge as well.

Chill covered (I just cover with more plastic wrap) in the refrigerator.

After fudge is fully set, remove from pan, discard empty can and plastic wrap and place on a pretty holiday plate or platter.

Store covered in a cool place.

Serve room temperature.

Mix It Up With Other Flavors

You could replace the candied cherries for another red and green candy, such as Dots or M&M’s (they are just an optional garnish)

Try adding nuts, raisins or currants.  NOTE:  when I’m giving a five minute fudge wreath as a gift, I leave these out, unless I know the recipient likes them.

We’ve made other flavors, by replacing the peanut butter chips with mint or butterscotch chips.

Want to booze it up?  replace the vanilla extract with Jack Daniels Whiskey!

The possibilities are really endless. You can use any flavor or flavor combination of chips you want!

Gift Wrap A Fudge Wreath

If you want to give it as a gift, place fudge on holiday plate and cover with holiday cellophane.  Tied up with a pretty wired ribbon and ornament or pin.

This year I tied on the Poinsettia pins I made.

Looking for more homemade food gifts to make?  I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t love a jar of this Toasted Cookie Dough. Or Microwave Caramels are always impressive…..they’ll never know how easy they were! Cinnamon Honey Butter and Homemade Vanilla Extract are so simple and make a beautiful gift!

Five Minute Fudge Wreath

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
A super easy delicious fudge that has become a holiday tradition!

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate morsels (12 ounces)
  • 9 ounces peanut butter morsels (3/4 of a 12-ounce bag)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk *SAVE the empty can!
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces chopped nuts of choice (optional)
  • Candied red and green cherries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a heavy pot on the stove and pre-heat it over low heat. Add chocolate and peanut butter morsels and milk stir until morsels are melted and milk is combined. *Save the empty condensed milk can.
  2. Stir in the vanilla and remove the fudge from heat. If adding nuts stir in immediately.
  3. Line round cake pan with plastic wrap and lightly coat with cooking spray. Cover the empty condensed milk can with plastic wrap and place in center of cake pan.
  4. Spoon fudge into pan around can, making sure to center the can if it drifts.
  5. The fudge will set up almost immediately. Garnish can only be added in the first minute or two that the fudge is in the pan, so work quickly. Decorate your wreath with “holly” made from cut candied red and green cherries. Sometimes I sprinkle with red and/or green sprinkles as well.
  6. Chill covered in the refrigerator. Remove the can from the center, remove fudge from pan, discard plastic wrap and place on decorative plate, and cover.

Notes

Variations: Use mint or butterscotch morsels in place of peanut butter for other flavors.
