The Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner

When you have a house with 3 inside dogs, sometimes it takes an army to keep the house clean! Even though there is only one one dog that sheds, there is one dog, who wishes to remain anonymous, that likes to collect leaves and sprinkle them all over my house. So needless to say, it’s a never ending battle to keep it clean, and I need all the help I can get.
I was so thrilled when the people at iRobot reached out to me again, asking if I’d like to try The Mint + Floor Cleaner. It was perfect timing because I had recently spent some time with Carolyn Forte, Director of the Home Appliances and Cleaning Products Department at Good Housekeeping, and she raved about The Mint cleaner when we discussed robotic floor cleaning devices. So the Mint was on my radar and I was dying to give it a go.
Let me tell you guys………Carolyn wasn’t kidding. The Mint is a DREAM! Not only is she whisper quiet but she’s efficient and does an amazing job! Mint Plus is not a vacuum, it operates quietly so you – and your pets – won’t be disturbed while it cleans.
You may know, I have a few other automatic floor cleaners, but I have to say, The Mint+ is my favorite! I first tested the Mint on my kitchen tile, using the dry sweep mode. The microfiber cloth was super easy to attach to the cleaning pad and with the push of a button the Mint started its business. (I love that I can use the microfiber cloth or I can use disposable Swiffer pads). I left it alone while I ate a cupcake did other housework. I kept checking on it, because I couldn’t hear it, I thought it was stuck and had turned off. I finally left it alone and when I checked on it a little later, the Mint was done. Being that the mint is not a vacuum, I wondered how well it would do……. Well, the proof was in the microfiber cloth, it was filthy! It was a little shocking to see how filthy my floor was!
I then dampened the mopping cloth and used the Pro-Clean Reservoir Pad and had the Mint mop the same floor. Again, I was surprised by how dirty the cloth was when it was finished!
The big shock came, when I ran it in our family room, with laminate floors. The Mint is small and goes under all the furniture, so it catches all the lose dog hair and dust bunnies. I love that I don’t have to move the furniture any more to clean under it.

What does The Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner Do?

Hi! We recently moved into a new house with hardwood floors and it’s so hard keeping them clean with two kids and a yellow lab that sheds all the time! To top it off we have no grass yet in our front yard so mud/dirt are constantly being tracked in! This gadget looks too cool and we would love to own one! Thank you!

I was so happy to find your info about the Mint+. I have all hard wood floors and two black labs who that are indoor dogs and shed throughout the year. I must clean the floors daily to keep up with the hair and the dirt they track in. I would love to be able to set the mint to run overnight and wake up to clean floor every morning. Eliminating the dust and hair would also help keep alergies at bay.
My kids are messy, little boys and I’m working three jobs and going to school full time. Needless to say, housework gets put on the back burner. 🙂

It would be a drream come true to have the Mint floor cleaner ! I used to do al the cleaning, cooking ,…. but since 3 years I’m totlally bedbound , I have fibromyalgia and ME ( combined with the physical injuries by abuse by my ex ) Now I have the sweetes husband a woman can dream of and despite everything I was never so happy in my whole life .
But everything has to be done by my husband . He’s working the nightshift so he can take care of me during the day , take me to hospital , he does the complete household ( cooking, cleaning, ironing , laundry, ….) without ever complaining .
He doens’t have a minute of spare time… We have two cat’s ( I love them dearly but the little foorprints and the hair…. ) and a sweet granddaughter who’s 18 month’s, the second on the way 🙂 so keeping the floors clea is a dayly job . I would be so happy with the Mintfloor cleaner , I’m so grateful for everything my husband does and it would help him a lot… And maybe he would finally get some time to do something fot himself – he loves to write songs and play his guitare, drawing and painting . He really deserves it , I would love to give it to him !

I would love to own this little machine!! I have 3 indoor hunting dogs that constantly shed or bring in dirt, and a 4yr old son who is constantly playing on the floor amonst the fur and dirt or making a mess himself!! This would be such a great help keeping the floors clean!!
We’ve got hardwood looking laminate in a lot of our house. This smooth floor is so annoying – I feel ever crumb or piec of dirt or cat litter that is under foot. I’d LOVE this to help my aggrivation with keeping the floors clean!

This would be PERFECT for our house. I have a son with severe allergies to dust, pollen, grass, dust mites, etc. And keeping a 80 year old house dust free is a never-ending daily task. I converted our floors to hardwood and lenolium to help with Phoenix’s allergies. We do allergy shots and are dog/cat free since he is highly allergic to these. 🙁 So having a wonderful “helper” to do my floors while I work as an RN and have 4 kids and am always dusting and swiffer-ing everything would be tremendous help to me and to the never-ending battle with Phoenix and his allergies!! Phoenix needs this and so do I! 🙂

To torture the dogs.
Like you, I have inside dogs….4! I adore them, but they do drag in branches, leaves, grass, whatever they can into the house. Additionally, they love to chew on their soft toys & blankets, which leaves little pieces of flannel all over the place. Obviously, I’d love to have a Mint Floor Cleaner so I don’t have to sweep the floors every day…or just not walk barefoot until I do!

We have 4 dog and 3 of them shed, I also have 2 boys who like all boys love the dirt and mud! We live in South Dakota so it’s not out of the norm for snow, ice or puddles from rain to be tromped across the house. The Mint would be a life saver!
This would be awesome! I have such a hard time finding the time to mop the floors and then what to do while I wait for the floors to dry. This could all be done while we are sleeping!
I was just talking to my husband on how we needed either a robotic vacuum cleaner or a dog. I am amazed on how my kids can not keep their mouths shut long enough to even eat oreo cookies. I find slobbered cookie crumbs all over the floor daily. The mint could be a life saver for me and for the kids (there is a ban on oreos right now).
