You might remember this past summer when I told you about my first Stitch Fix Box. Well, January marked the seventh shipment my daughter and I have received hand picked for each of us by our own personal stylist at Stitch Fix. This month I kept something that I want to send to one lucky TidyMom reader!
We have been getting a lot of fun things, not only really cute tops, dresses, pants and sweaters, we have also gotten some really great accessories! I think I have kept every scarf they have sent (my weakness), a necklace that I get SO many compliments on every time I wear it –even wore it to Anthropologie once and the clerk said it looked like an Anthro necklace! This month was the first time I had a purse in my box!!
I actually had no idea they sent purses and I instantly fell in love with it!
For starters, it’s a crossbody purse, with cute little tassels. I especially love the flap over feature plus it has a zipper compartment on the back and the front (under the flap over)
It also has a really cute little chevron lining inside. What’s not to love right?
Oh, and it’s black……so it will go with anything and can be used all year – dressed up or down!!
If you are wondering what Stitch Fix is all about? You can get all the detail in my post about my first Stitch Fix Box. Basically, it is an online service where you have a personal stylist that hand selects items specifically for you! They mail you a package of 5 apparel and accessory items each month, and you decide what you want to keep or mail back (in a postage paid bag). There is a $20 styling fee per “fix”, but if you choose to keep any of the items, that fee is waived. And if you decide to keep all five items, you get 25% off.
WIN IT
Now for the surprise!…….Since I just got a few new purses for Christmas, I thought it would be fun to keep this Emperia Crossbody Purse from my Stitch Fix shipment to giveaway to one of you!!! The Stitch Fix price for this handbag was $48, but the bag is listed on the Emperia site for $70.

For my birthday present, my aunt gave me a plane ticket to visit her for thanksgiving at her house in MIA while my mom was visiting her! It has been a while since I have seen any of them because I got married and moved to ATX and mom is at PR and its so hard to get together in just ONE place with everyone of my family. I never keep secrets from mom but when we saw each other that day, she almost had a heart attack and it has been the best surprise and reaction I have ever experienced before.
The birth of my first grand baby!
Best thing in 2013: clean bill of health for my entire family!
I’m so grateful for my family. For the great young adults my children are turning out to be.
i went on a road trip down the whole east coast with my dad!
Best thing was a fun, health-filled year.
took care of me for a change!
The best thing that happened to me in 2013 is my sister beat breast cancer!!!
The best thing that to me was the birth of my first grandbaby! A beautiful little girl and not only did I get to see her shortly after birth but 2 more times in 2013! My daughter lives in Arizona and I in Washington state. Limited monies for me and limited amount of time for her and her husband I was thrilled to see them 3 times!
I got my dog, Jager!
the best thing that happened to me last year was losing 20lbs and getting back to being more active 🙂
Really the best thing that could have happened to me in 2013 was the opportunity to not only to stop and smell the roses but to have the time to plant the roses and watch them grow.
The best thing that happened to me in 2013, is my husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary.
What was really incredible, was our 4 grown children surprised us with a party! (I’m the party planner in the family, and I had absolutely no clue this was going on).
I got married. Best thing in 2013 for sure!
The best of 2013 is the laughter and love shared with family and friends!
Visiting Paris!
I guess the best thing for me would be that our business picked up considerably from the last few years.
The best thing that happened to me in 2013…my brother and his family moved back to the USA after 5.5 years in Asia. Now I get to spend more time with them! Love it!
As I sat one evening with so called friends, I realized that I’m a great person, I don’t need diamond and jewels, lots off money or a fantastic job. I’m happy with who I am, my wonderful Children (4 boys) and my husband who has been by my side thru thick and thin for 28 years. He has been there thru the good and bad, happy and sad. We are blessed to have the wonderful family that we have. Being me is the best.
My son got married in 2013.
The best thing that happened in 2013 would have to be my mom and my sister being declared in remission from cancer.
The best thing that happened to me this past year was getting to realize a dream that began over 13 years ago.
I was out shopping one day when I saw little girl silver tea sets on sale. My two girls were too old for them and I had no grandchildren as none of my four children were married as of yet. I bought four sets with the hope that each of my children would give me at least one granddaughter each…lol!
Jump ahead 13 years and I now have 7 granddaughters ages 1 through 11 years old. It was time to find three more silver tea sets and have my tea party.
I decided it would be fun to have my granddaughters dressed alike so I crocheted them a ladybug dress and purse to match. This was no easy task as I was still healing from having a bone removed from my left wrist. YaHoo! I made it and our “Ladybug Tea Party” was a great success. The story of our tea party, along with pictures, was even featured in the blog of the company where I purchased the crochet pattern for the ladybug dress and purse. The girls felt like celebrities and had so much fun they asked if they could have a special tea party every year. Their Pop and I promised them we would make it happen, without my making them matching dresses…lol!
In April we will be putting on the fancy, with bling, and creating another wonderful “Memory Making Moment” for us all!
The best thing(s) that happened to us in 2013 was taking our dream trip to China (and taking our grandson with us) and celebrating our 20th anniversary while there!
Spending time with my parents.
The best thing that happened to me in 2013 was I finally got to complete the renovation of my kitchen! Ten years in the making, just never had the time or money to do it….and it’s fabulous!
The best thing that happened in 2013 was the birth of our new granddaughter, Carolina June, in May!! LOVE that baby!!
Planning my wedding has been the best part 🙂
