I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

Lol! I currently pour loads of vinegar all over and skate around on handtowels, digging under cabinet and intp corners with my toes.
That’s how we’re supposed to do it, right?
I use an old fashioned sponge mop.
Cleaning our kitchen floor is a daily mess! I sweep and use a Swiffer, but with 4 dogs and tons of grandkids, sometimes it’s so bad that I’m back to my hands and knees.

I have a lot of tile. I use the Swiffer Wet Jet and the Hoover Floormate for deep cleaning. I seem to have to do it everyday with two kiddos. Such a pain…this would be awesome to win!
I have tile floors, so I sweep whenever I can!

I vacuum my floors, then get out the handheld
long vacuum that can get the food, dog hair and other grime under the
cabinets. Then I get out the mop and have fun with that. This would be a time saver!
Better then my husband. He does not vacuum under the chairs or kitchen cabinets.

I like Tidy Mom on facebook and follow you on Pinterest. I currently use the ‘Shark’ to clean my floors.
I use a swifter!
In the kitchen I sweep and then use hot-sudsy water with a squeegee mop. Carpets are vacuumed and every so often I borrow my mother-in-laws carpet cleaner…
I mop my hardwood floors and ceramic tile with a regular old mop, I would love to see how this performs on my floors!

I clean my floors on my hands and knees scrubbing away, but I’d gladly stop this if I won this! I use Murphy’s Oil soap on the wooden ones and Lysol or Mr. Clean disinfecting soap on the others.
Does having the dogs try to lick it clean count? This is why I need this Scooba! thanks for all you do.
I mop.
I vaccuumm swifter, and clean with vinegar and water.
Wood floors: Murphy’s Oil Soap (classic)
Tile: Mr. Clean Antimicrobial Multi-Surface (best smell) and I do it the old fashioned way-on hands and knees with a scrub brush and a towel- and when I feel lazy-Swifter Wet!
I use a Swiffer after vacuuming.
Usually I just use a vacuum. But this would be amazing!

I am fortunate enough to have cleaning ladies who clean our floors for us! And while we used to vacuum every other day, somehow we make it two weeks without vacuuming now. That being said, I’m moving soon and won’t be able to afford to keep my cleaning ladies – so I need HELP!

I clean my floors on my hands and knees using Mr. Clean…This is a good 2hr job!!! The irobot would sure come in handy at my home!
We vaccum the floors every single day because of dogs and kids. This vaccum would save us so much time. Oh the fun we could have if we didn’t have to vaccum all the time.

I vacuum the carpet with my Kirby, and vacuum the tile (there’s a lot of tile!) with the Bissell Sweep and Steam. Sometimes I sweep with a broom and use the Swiffer Wet Jet if the mood strikes.
