I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

For the carpet, we vacuum. Laminate, I sweep.
Mop and bucket.
Like both on FB
Liked everything and tweeted –
I wash half with a swiffer and half on my hands and knees
I clean my floors vinegar and water and a washable mop. The Scooba looks much easier!!
I sweep my floors then use a hardwood cleaner mop.
Ok the truth? I spray my Shaklee cleaner on them and then use my foot to guide the microfiber cloth 🙂 That is if i do it – if it is the children – they use the old fashioned mop 🙂
IF I clean my floors, I sweep and then mop with a reuseable oMOp.
I NEED this! I have two kids under 3 and they make messes about every second. I usually vacuum first with a dyson (my favorite cleaning tool) and then I mop. I have an 1850 sq ft house and it’s all tile except the bedrooms. This would pretty much be a life Saver!
I have always want a robot to do my cleaning!! Pick ME!!

I make my husband mop the floors. I’m sure he would love one of there.
when I clean my floor, I always mop using my Shark Steam mom. No cleaners, no fumes, just pure clean floors! I love how clean they get but I, too, HATE mopping! This would keep everything looking so fresh! What a great giveaway!!

i prefer to be on my hands & knees washing every corner of my floors. feel it gets all dirt possible. i 1st start by vacuuming the floor & then wash. it helps because when you see a spot that needs some elbow grease you can really get it clean. i use warm water & white vinegar. it seems to work best for me. we don’t have kids or animals. so i like to think we could eat off my floors. why, you may ask? well, i keep them extra clean & that is the way i like it. no one likes a messy house. this little guy would be so much help for sure. good day. (:
This is an awesome giveaway!
I sweep and mop my tile floors. I used to vacuum, but I don’t like carrying the vacuum around.
OMG this is so awesome Cheryl!! If you watch those swiffer commercials with the mop and bucket…that’s still me (mop and bucket)! This would be amazing 🙂

I use the Swiffer to clean my floors.
I love the swiffer concept but felt was too pricey so I have an ocedar mop with a cotton mop head that is removeable and I can wash and bleach in between cleanings. I use “hot” vinegar and water on my tiled floor and murphy’s oil soap and water on my hard wood floors. I love them to shine. I do have kids & pets so I feel I have to clean often. This would be a life saver!!
I clean my floors with a plain old broom and since my downstairs is wood and tile I do this everyday.

I use a mop and bucket with vinegar water to clean my floors.
Oh how I HATE to mop but with this new “puppy” I feel like I NEED to more often so once a week I get out the ole mop bucket and mop (that has a detachable head that can be washed) and I scrub the floors….in between mop cleanings I have the libman quick mop and I use that….one of the hard parts for me is that when I mop it makes my arthritis “flare” so after mopping I have to peel my fingers off of the mop and spend the rest of the day in pain….I’m too “young” for that pain but the floors need to be cleaned! This would help me out so much!
I Clean my Floors with either the shark steam mop or swiffer mop..the pads kept getting expensive for the swiffer, so i cut a microfiber cloth in have a so i can use the cloth over & over again and just wash it when i done. i would soo love to win a irobot, it would be such a time saver and just a joy to have 🙂
I use a Wet Swiffer mop to clean my floor.

Worth a shot. I clean with a mop and bucket. I use wheever is on sale to clean my floors. I like to use mild stuff and natural. I did like tile X to get deep down in my tile floors.
I am mop and bucket, Lately I am obsessed with my carpet cleaner (the pain of a potty training dog and toddler) But I honest to God just had a girlfriend gushing over this Scooba at dinner the other night!

I vacuum mostly. Would LOVE this!!!
You’re supposed to clean your floors? hmmm. I thought my baby crawling around did enough. hehe!
I usually sweep. When I really clean, I use Orange Glow with a microfiber mop on my hardwood floors and good old PineSol on my hands and knees on the kitchen and bathroom floors.

I hate mopping! For light cleaning I have a Swiffer wet jet, but I still have a rag mob and scrub brush for heavy duty. The Roomba would be a big improvement.
I sweep my floor with a broom and mop. I have always thought a scooba would be awesome to have! I have a roomba but I need to get it a new battery!
