I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

I just use a regular mop and bucket of water and cleaner now.
I like TidyMom on FaceBook.
I use the Cedar mop and homemade cleaner. I run avdaycare and have to clean my floors all the time so it’s cheaper for me to just make the cleaner!

I use the swiffer vacuum first, then I use the dry swiffer, then I mop with the wet swiffer! Regular brooms and mops, just do NOT get the floors clean! I still find stuff the swiffer misses too. 🙁

Right now most of my flooring is carpeting (which I hate and intend to change as soon as I can afford to) so I actually still usually do my floor washing down on my hands and knees using vinegar based cleaners (I love mint or orange essential oils especially) and a scrub brush or sponge. It’d be awesome to have a Scooba to help me keep up once I get rid of this carpeting!
I HATE mopping my floors!! I use a regular old mop. I would love to win this handy little robot. 🙂
I would so love an iRobot Scooba 390. Right now I use a steam mop .
How do I clean my floors? My husband 🙂

I use a Swiffer with the wet cloth but that cloth never lasts long enough even to do one room. That gets expensive.

I currently dustmop every day and then mop less frequently. I would love to have one of these things to do the dirty work for me!!!
I alternate between using my hoover floormate and a spray mop. Occasionally, I get down on all fours to get into all the corners and crevices.

I get on my hands and knees… but I would love to win this for my mom who has a so much floor to scrub.. and she can’t do it because of her age.
I have a steam cleaner but even that is hard work!
I use a broom or a swiffer then the vacuum then we get to the mopping. YUCK! Needless to say, we mainly vacuum and sweep then run a Swiffer wet over the floor.
I sweep the floor with q broom, and dust mop. Afterwards I wash the floor with a microfiber wet mop. My floors get way too much of my time just trying to keep them clean! The iRobot sounds like a dream come true.
Like most women I have plenty of other things that need my attention.
Love your blog!
First I vacuum, then I mop with hot water and vinegar.
I use a terry cloth or microfiber mop and a vinegar and water mixture. I’d love to go all “jetsons” and have a robot to do it for me!!

I’ve bake all the time and my floors show it. No tool is the perfect tool. I use a broom, a shark steamer, and usually end up on my hands and knees on the floor scrubbing. The IRobot Scooba 390 would be the perfect tool for me!
I try getting my kids to clean my floors but it doesn’t work too well. I use a broom and dust pan most of the time or vacuum the rugs.

Wow! I’ve never seen the new iRobt Scooba 390 until your post ~ it looks like a work of magic! Please enter me in your drawing…recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and cleaning my hardwood floors has become an almost Herculean task. (And wasn’t Hercules able to channel two rivers to get his major cleaning tasks efficiently completed?!)
We use a good ole Libman mop. Actually my sweet hubby does most of the mopping! <3
