I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

I have a dog and two kids and am super dumb when it comes to mopping. This would be a life saver.

I use vinegar,warm water,and a mop.
I clean my floors with a broom and old fashioned mop! I have yet to get into “modern” floor cleaning and would love to! I could use something easier!
I try to sweep my floors every day. With 2 young kids, it’s needed! But I can only give them a good scrub once a week.
I clean my floors with a vinegar mixture and a swiffer. I sweep my floors at least 3 times a day. I have lots of little chefs!!!
How do I clean my floors – on my hands and knees.
I would love to use this. 🙂 Do you think they will make something to wash windows?
I clean my floors on my hands and knees every day!
We have a regular roomba downstairs that rocks, and a Dyson upstairs for cleaning carpet and hardwoods.
I try to sweep the floor every evening to pick up the crumbs for the day. However I can only give it a good scrub about once a week with a reusable mop.
I would love to win a Robot I really drive my family crazy because I always have to clean the floors. What a time saver.
I do a lot of sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping with a steam cleaner and sometimes my swiffer wet jet. We have a lot of tile in our house that is so dusty and I get tired of carrying the vacuum up and down the stairs.
i would so love to win this!! We have all hard floors so it is a big PAIN to keep clean!! 🙂 Thanks for a chance to win!
How do i clean my floors? I have my husband do it!

I vacume and use a swiffer. Thanks
It would be so cool to have my floors cleaned while at work.
I clean my Saltio tile with a mop and liquid Lysol first
then go over with my steam mop.
Nice and clean but time consuming with 2500+ sq ft.
Not done nearly enough!!
The old fashion way with a mop !!!

Swiffer, broom, vacumm and mop. I have a border collie who brings in her backyard and sheds. Good thing she is cute. 🙂
I have all wood and tile floors. I use swiffer sweeper vac first, then go back over it with swiffer wet jet (on a good day). It does a decent job, but it could be better!

Right now I use a mop and bucket for tile/linoleum and a spray/mop for the wood floors. I’m very close to buying a steam cleaner, but this would be way better!
I sweep up my floors, but I don’t mop at all. Unless something stick gets spilled, then that are will get cleaned up. 🙂
I either use the old traditional mop or if I’m feeling lazy (majority of the time) I just use the swiffer-type pads!!!!! I would LOVE to try this!!!!!!!!

I clean my hard surfaces with Mr. Clean and I have a Rainbow system that I vacuum with.
I love to come home from work to clean floors!!!
I use the Shark Vac-Then-Steam for my ceramic tile and laminate floors. It works great, but it would be so nice to have the iRobot Scooba to save me a lot of time.

Hi TidyMom! I really want to win the iRobot for my mom… She is constantly cleaning, mopping, vaccuming..etc.. because of my 3 younger siblings who always make a mess. I realize how much work she does and I think she deserves a break. She currently uses just a regular mop and sometimes she even gets on the floor to scrub it. I think she would really appreciate an iRobot to make her day a bit easier and since her birthday is in a couple of months! Thanks Cheryl so much for always doing giveaways! You’re the best!

Loved your video. You did a great job explaining the Scooba. Thank you for the awesome giveaway. After using several products out on the market, I am currently back to the good old fashioned mop. I vacuum frequently but often skip mopping. This would be a great timesaver. Thank you!

Dear Tidy Mom , I want to #win an iRobot Scooba for my Mom she lost her sight last year , she cleans her floors on hands and knees with traditional mop (with Orange clean) , I visit her more often than before just to see how I can help here ,what amaze me is ,that she even wax the hardwood floors every other month. I hope with this she might save more time for her.
I clean my floors often. I have two small kids and a dog. I usually use our swifter.
