I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

I currently use a Haan steam mop and love it, but I have to plan out an hour to really get my floors clean. I have been intrigued by the iRobot for a while and this one appears to be AWESOME! I like the idea that I could be doing something else while the iRobot does the floors for me!
I use a shark steam cleaner, however, I just stripped and resealed the entire floor. What a job, but the floor looks great.

I watched the video you posted of the Scuba 390! Simply heaven if you ask me! 🙂 How awesome would it be to turn that baby on and go have a cup of coffee while it does your job?! I usually get REALLY hot water and vinegar and hand wash my old but dirty floor. 🙁
I follow Tidy Mom on Pinterest and FB. I liked i robot as well. I will now Tweet Tidy Mom’s message as well. Crossing my fingers and toes because this baby would be AWESOME! 🙂

Currently I use an rumba sweeper, swifter wet jet and mop on our tile floors. I feel like it takes two mops to really get it clean. Would love the iRobot.

I use a Spin Mop to wash my floors now. The floors are the one cleaning task I truly hate to do. I would be eternally grateful if I won this. Thank you. *fingers and toes crossed*

I follow you thru all of your means of interenet! FB, Twitter, blog, email, & pinterest, lol! I wash my floors by just sweeping & using a swifter. Then whatever doesn’t come out, I spray with vinegar and dishsoap mixed in a bottle or water and lemon to get the hard stains out. My WHOLE house it either tiled or tervis. I need this!! I worl 10-12 hours days and I have 4 dogs, a cat and a husband who is a complete slob. Save me from my weekends of horrer please! 🙂 lol!
I vacum then mop with very hot water and vinegar. This would be great to have!
Hi TidyMom! I love your blog and also follow you on facebook and pinterest. Your tips & findings truly improved my life as a working mom of two boys! So…thank you. On to the iRobot! I read all the information you posted, fell in love, then watched the video…wow! My wonderful mom taught me long ago the most thorough way to wash the floor is on your hands and knees, so that’s what I do…and what she still does as well. Craziness and deinitely not good on our achy knees! I would love to give the iRobot a try…and share it with my mom who lives next door. Then, we can spend more time together (shopping, playing with my kids, gardening, the list goes on!) instead of spending hours of our short weekend cleaning our floors.
