I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

I use the good ‘ol broom n dust pan… Then I’ll alternate between my swiffer and my microfiber cloth thing for mopping… With 3 kids, dog n cat, my poor hardwood floors are never clean 😛
I too hate cleaning floors, bucket of warm soapy water on my hands and knees
I follow you on FB!!! 😀
Old fashioned mop, and it has seen it’s better days!

I have a lot of wood floors and tiles throughout the house so this iRobot would be a big help. I use a wood floor mop with Murphys’ oil soap or the Method one that smells good, and a Libman mop for my tiles with Fabuloso cleaner!
Following you on Pinterest, like TidyMom & iRobot on Facebook =)
I too dislike moping my floors. My method of cleaning is on my hands and knees. It’s been a long time dream to own an iRobot!! 🙂
I follow you on facebook. I still use a mop and bucket and haul it up and down three stories…errr!

I do a combination of methods, sweeper for the laminate area, sweep and mop for the tile area, and lastly, sweep, mop and then hands ad knees for the kitchen area.
I don’t mop my floors often enough and when I do I have a really hard time getting the flour from baking up out of the cracks in my hardwood kitchen floor.

I sweep and then use a mop. I hate mopping! I would love to win an iRobot Scooba!
I either sweep or vacuum first, use the swiffer wet jet for quick clean ups or my steam mop. About once every coupld of months I get down and use a scrub brush on the dirtiest areas (in front of the fridge, stove and sink and the back door). I have back issues and mopping hurts – I would love to win a Scooba!

I use a Swiffer Jet every now and then. I just bought a Groupon for a company to come in and clean our tiles floors. 😉
I still clean my floors like my Grandma used to…. on those good ole hands and knees! 😉
I liked iRobot on Facebook just now.

I have about 1,000 sq ft. of hard wood floors. I change up how I clean them from one time to the next. I use a steamer, I mop the old fashioned way with vinegar or a bit of Basic-H, I use a mopper that is like a vacuum. The mopper/vacuum is probably the best result but it takes soooo long.
Oh boy, we steam mop but I would LOVE this!

Being that I am physically challenged now as well as my mother, this IRobot would be a great help.
I sweep or vacuum first. Then I mop with white vinegar and water.
I Scrub my floors the old fashioned way – with rags, homemade cleaner & elbow grease.
I’m supposed to clean my floors? 🙂 Usually I vacuum and my husband mops! 🙂

I’m really bad at cleaning my floors. I vacuum then use a bucket and sponge. Sometimes I never get to the bucket and sponge part : )
Vacuum and either scrub on hands and knees or mop.

I don’t clean my floors. I hate to clean and I work full time so I treat myself to a cleaning lady not sure what all she does. I bet she would like this though.
I’ve been using a Shark – would love a Scooba !
Just the old fashioned way with a mop and a bucket. Would LOVE an Irobot Scooba!

I don’t mop nearly as often as I should. I use tough and tender from Melaleuca mixed with water to mop my floors.
Need this desperately…
I use a mop and would be thrilled beyond words to let teh irobot take over the job!
