I’m going to take a stab at it and assume most of you don’t ENJOY cleaning your floors, right?
I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house and with 4 people and 2-3 dogs, my floors get dirty every day. I do a good job keeping it vacuumed, but mopping…..yeah, that’s not my favorite. Since I don’t have small kids crawling I don’t mop as often as I used to. Mopping is NOT fun!
I was super excited with the people at iRobot asked me if I’d like to give the new Scooba 390 a spin!……..ummmm a Robot that will clean my floors for me?! you don’t even have to ask! Send her over!
What IS the iRobot Scooba?
iRobot Scooba is a floor cleaning robot that uses iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology to ensure that the Scooba washes every part of your floor multiple times. It gets into areas you can’t easily reach, including under and around furniture, washing until the job is complete. iRobot Scooba uses a four stage cleaning system to simultaneously prep, wash, scrub and squeegee floors with the touch of a button. Unlike using a bucket of cleaning water and a mop, Scooba always washes with clean water, there’s no deposit of dirt while cleaning.
iRobt Scooba 390 features
- New Extended Life Power Management delivers longer battery life than previous models. One battery charge will cover 850 square feet and run for about 45 minutes. Ideal for homes with larger areas.
- Cleans sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors.
- No Pre-Sweeping required.
- Four-stage cleaning removes up to 98% of common household bacteria* and uses only fresh solution from start to finish.
- Autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of 5 times
- Scooba 390 cleans with tap water, water and vinegar or Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner.
- Sensors allow the Scooba 390 to avoid stairs and ledges
- Cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places.
- Cliff sensor technology keeps Scooba from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.
- Virtual Wall® technology keeps Scooba in the rooms you want to clean and out of those you don’t.
I made a little video showing you first hand how easy it is to use.
I show you how easy it is to set up to use, you get to see it in action in my home (there’s even a short clip of Cullen checking it out lol), then I show you how good of a job it did and how to clean it up when it’s finished cleaning your floors!
So cool right?
This would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift! You could WIN ONE for Mom or your self!
The great people at iRobot would like to take the work out of cleaning floors for one lucky TidyMom reader!

My floors are cleaned by my husband after I let enough dirt pile up (though if he is away, I will do it myself).
I scrub my floors the old-fashioned way, on my hands and knees, and use water and vinegar.
I HATE cleaning my floors. I sweep and vacuum them but mopping is a whole different story. Such a pain. I use a mop and bucket.
This is such a great giveaway! I have two kids and one on the way …I NEED this irobot!!
i have fb, tweeted, liked and all the above requirements for this machine…..currently, i do the ole’ mopping with a cotton mop thing….i have mostly hard wood floors and tile so you can imagine, with three boys, what my floors look like……thank you for the opportunity to dream of cleaner floors and extra added help, TidyMom!
I already ‘liked’ you on FB and now I ‘like’ irobot too.
Well it’s a bit of a process over here. First I sweep then I mop with a mr clean magic eraser mop and then I go over it with a swiffer. Neither one gets it clean enough if I just use the one by itself so I have to use both.
I slave on my hands and knees to clean my tile floors!
Already liked you, now liking iRobot on FB as well.

Right now I sweep with a regular broom and then use my Hoover Floormate. I have carpet in the bedrooms and I hate it. LOL

I usually just sweep or shop vac and then mop! I do have a re-usable mop, that I can rinse the cleaning head and re-use.
I also have lots of ceramic tile in my two story home, with five guys and a dog. Unfortunately the best way to mop my floor is on my hands and knees, with lots of warm water and vinegar. I don’t know if this doodad you are giving away will do a good job of cleaning tile floors (the grout), but I would be willing to give it a try if i should happen to win one.

This would be such a blessing – I sweep & hardly ever mop, just spot clean my floors! I have 3 kid

I use my beloved Roomba (pet model) to sweep and then if I am lucky my husband will get annoyed at the sticky floors and offer to mop.
I usually wash my ceramic tile with an old fashioned string mop…but then I always have to go over it again on my hands and knees with a sponge to get in all the nooks and grooves. It is a chore I truly do no look forward to, therefore it is not done as often as I would like! With 4 kids, two dogs and numerous cats, it is virtually impossible to keep clean for more than mere minutes….this gadget sounds like a Godsend!
I sweep the scrub on my hands and knees. This would be wonderful!
I dont really ever clean my floors, but when I do I use a swiffer. However, I would like to win this to give to my mom for mother’s day.

I scrub my floors on my hands and knees with a bucket, a sponge and a brush. Ya, not fun at all.
I have a dog that sheds the equivalent of 2-3 dogs so I often use broom to get hair up. I also use the Haan Steamer Vac for cleaning.
I use a swiffer mop on my floors, but the wet pad always dries out so quickly, so they never get really clean, this looks amazing!
wow I could really use something like this! Very cool!

I have a large area of hardwood in my home and 3 kids! I sweep constantly (or so it seems!), and clean with a microfiber mop and Zep Hardwood floor cleaner. I would love this!!!
