Most of you know that I LOVE photography!
A few years ago I tried my hand at a 365 photo a day project (I made it all the way thru mid October!) and now I pretty much take photo’s every day with my iphone. I love capturing my family’s life as it happens. Some of the photos I get are “print worthy” but many are not, and that’s ok, because they are pictures that remind me of Allison’s first date, or the how our tongues turned blue from the candy we ate, or moving Heather into her first apartment.
Getting the “real life moments” is something I’d love to learn more about, so when I heard about a new e-book by one of my favorite bloggers/photographers, Rebecca Cooper I knew I need to get my hands on it QUICK!
For those of you who don’t know Rebecca, she’s talented beyond belief and blogs at Simple As That. She is a professional photographer and mother of four children, who recently returned home, with her family to Alberta, Canada, after living on a tiny island in the Dutch Caribbean. She is the author of two previous photography eBooks, 40 Top Tips for Better Photos and Don’t Say Cheese!, and has now has published her third, titled Real. Life. Photography. She was recently chosen as one of ten bloggers who experienced a once in a life time trip as a Great Barrier Reef Queensland Blogger Correspondent hosted by Problogger and Tourism Queensland.
Rebecca’s latest photography ebook, Real.Life.Photography inspires us to pick up our cameras more often and to look for the magic in every day moments. The 70 pages are jam packed with tips and tricks for taking amazing photos in all kinds of real-life situations.
Take a peak:
Each page is full beautiful real life photos. Rebecca shares exactly how she got the shot as well as her camera settings! This book is easy to read and understand for the novice photographer, yet full of inspiration for those with a little more experience.
The book even includes a chapter on enhancing your photos; quick fixes, Photoshop short cuts and even solutions to common mistakes! Christy from Addy Lane has made a set of actions called Simple Fixes Actions that are the perfect compliment to Rebecca’s e-book. They work for both Photoshop Elements and PS. I love that when paired with Real.Life.Photography., they can turn your everyday moments into magical memories!
Here’s a shot I took of my mom with our girls, using some of the Simple Fix actions
Nothing crazy or drastic, just simple and sweet.
WIN IT!
I’m Lovin’ Rebecca and her new e-book and Rebecca has generously offered to give one lucky TidyMom reader a copy of ALL THREE of Rebecca’s e-Books as well as a set of the new Photoshop /Photoshop Elements, “Simple Fixes Action Set” to help you out! {total value $41.96}

I like to get pictures of my children when they don’t know I am taking pictures. Where I live I am surrounded by a natural wildlife reserve so I am lucky enough to get some pictures of very cool animals passing through my yard too. I am just discovering some of the features on my camera and love just playing around with it. I keep thinking I should take a class but with 5 kids scheduling can be difficult, would love to learn more.
I would LOVE to have this book. Like many of your followers, I love to take pictures of my daughter and I love to try to capture everyday moments and her childhood. I am not as good though, at printing them and putting the in my project life albums… Can’t wait to check out your book!
I have three grandchildren that I love to photograph. And now…I have another new baby grandson! Can not wait to see him and photograph him!!!
We have our first granddaughter! I would like to capture memories for her and future grandchildren.
I would LOVE to have this book. I have gone to two classes to learn how to take great shots with my Nikon D7000, but they were not very helpful and they only really knew Canons…This would be great! I have a new grand-baby and LOVE to take great shots and edit them!!
I would LOVE to get more education on taking great shots and how to edit them. Can’t wait to check this out some more and get great shots of my granddaughter!!!
I love photographing my kids….if they’d stand still long enough. Lately I’ve been working on my food photography, mainly my decorated cookies. Still have ALOT to learn.

My favorite thing to photograph would really have to be anything and everything macro- There is something about having one object in full detail and surrounded by Booker that i just love. I especially enjoy it with more colorful objects, such as fruit or against a neon colored wall/back drop, its happy, uplifting, and I just can take enough of them! another aspect of Macro I enjoy is up close shots of eyes and faces, it’s amazing the emotions you can seen on such a small faction of the face,
Love this giveaway. My favorite thing to photograph is my new daughter Paige!! I am wearing my camera out this month 🙂
My favorite thing to take photos of is my new boston terrier puppy 🙂

My favorite thing to photograph is my kids, animals, friends and family. We lost a good friend at age 40 last year and when the family asked for pictures they had lots from when she was young but the older she got and the more they took pictures of their twins and not her and her husband the less pictures they had. I make it a point to take pictures of friends and family everywhere I go (and always take pictures of my kids). Thanks for the chance.
I love to photograph my niece!
