Fruit and Nut Slaw
Strawberries and mandarin oranges, dressed in a light slaw dressing with pecans and blue cheese, this fruit and nut slaw is a great summer side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cup slaw dressing
- 1 pound shredded cabbage (or slaw mix)
- 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 cup seedless red grapes, sliced
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 to 1 cup blue cheese
Instructions
- Using a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, strawberries,oranges. grapes, pecans and blue cheese.
- Add Marzetti Slaw Dressing and gently stir until all ingredients are well coated with dressing.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.

STORAGE:
Can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Just note the nuts may turn soft, but will still taste good.

I love this recipe but I’m not the biggest blue cheese fan. Could you recomend a substitute cheese.
Well, to tell you the truth, I didn’t used to be a fan of blue cheese either, up until recently – when I discovered it’s not at bad as I thought. – I would still use it but just go light – I definitely think it gave it a great flavor that would not be as good with out it. —-blue cheese is chunky and easy to pick out if you find you really don’t like it 😉
