Teeth play such an important role in our health. But the up keep can be costly lol.

So I try to do everything I can to save my family and my wallet that pain and suffering.
How to Ensure Good Dental Health
- Limit snacking. Avoid chewy candies, juice and soft drinks as often as you can and if you eat or drink any of these, be sure to brush right after.
- Brush at least twice a day (especially at night).
- Use and electric toothbrush.
- Floss once a day.
- Have sealants applied when appropriate.
- Get regular dental checkup/cleanings (twice a year for children).
- Assure proper fluoride through drinking water, fluoride products or fluoride supplements.
- If you’re thirsty, and it’s not meal time, drink water.

Yesterday, a friend of ours was rushed into surgery. They found that he had an infection in and around the mitral valve in his heart that had deteriorated the valve so badly that they had to do replacement surgery. And how did he get an infection there? They say it could be from a bad tooth! So don’t let a tooth get ‘bad.’ Get to the dentist. It may save your life!! Oh, and btw, before they realized what was going on with the heart valve, they almost had to amputate one of his legs because there was a blood clot cutting off circulation to one of his legs – all because of this deteriorated valve, and possibly because of a tooth. Praise God it looks like our friend will be okay, but the doctors say he almost died because of this.
