Current Makeup Favorites

If you ask my daughters, they might tell you I have a problem……… I love make-up.

The funny thing is, I don’t wear a lot of makeup, and most days I only put a little on, but I LOVE to experiment with new makeup.  Pinterest and fashion blogs feed that addiction.

I have a style pinterest board where I pin make up I want to try, then next time I’m at Sephora or Ulta, I just pull up my pin board and start shopping!

I also love to take pictures of makeup………so, today I thought I’d snap a photo of a few of my latest makeup favorites with you!

Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation in soft blush – I have to tell you…… I LOVE this stuff!!  I have never used a liquid foundation that blends with my skin and evens out coloring, yet appears to be invisible like this Arbonne Foundation!  It does not clog my pores, and I do not feel like my face is caked with make up, like I usually do with liquid foundation.  Maybe this is because such a little amount goes a long way, I use a tiny pea sized amount for my entire face.  Even though it sells for about $43, it’s going to last a long time, and WELL worth the price in my book!!  You can buy this online at Arbonne.com or I ordered mine on Amazon with Prime shipping! **UPDATE 8/20/16 product packaging has change, but still same product.

Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eye Liner in Espresso –  I’ve mentioned before that I’m an eye liner girl.  I can’t leave home with out it. I still LOVE my passion for the Lorac Front of the Line liquid eye liner but, it’s a little “dressy” for every day.  So I picked up this Too Faced liner pencil that glides on so smooth and magical that you would think it’s a liquid! and the best part is, it promises 8 hours of budgeproof, smudgeproof wear!  The opposite end has a flexi-firm, beveled smudger so I can soften up the line a bit, giving me a softer look for day time.  I picked it up  at Ulta for $18, you can also find it at Sephora (in black only)

Stila Smudge Stick – this is a three-in-one gel-based eye primer, shadow, and liner that glides on with ease and stays in place all day!  I use this as a liner under my lower lashes.  I used to use a black or charcoal liner on my lower lid but I love the soft look this liner gives me.  It’s also a great day time color for eye shadow, although I mainly use it as a liner.  I might get it in a few other colors to use as shadows.  These are great to keep in your purse!  I bought mine at Ulta for $22 but you can also find it at Sephora for the same price. **UPDATE 8/20/16 – Stila has changed the name and packaging a little, so I’ve updated the links to the new smudge stick

Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Cover-Up Powder in Me Vain? Champagne – I use this as a setting powder and it’s like  velvet  !!  It gives me a gorgeous matte finish to my make-up with out looking heavy, keeps me from getting “shiny” and keeps all of my makeup in place, giving me a flawless looking complexion.  I have also used it as a light foundation when I was in a hurry.  I doesn’t give me the full coverage as my other foundations, but it’s better than bare skin when I’m in a hurry.  I use this stuff every time I put on make up! I picked it up at Ulta for $34 a few months ago, and still have 1/2 left, so it does last a long time! Again, you can also find it at Sephora.

Japonesque Mineral Face Brush – I LOVE this brush for applying the Hello Flawless powder!  Not only does it give me smooth flawless coverage, but this brush also has a unique Anti Bacterial technology that helps eliminate millions of bacteria that can lead to irritation, various infections, and skin issues such as acne!  I bought mine at Ulta for $27.  ** UPDATE 8/20/16 the look of this brush has changed- still the same brush I have.
