Crushing on My Favorite Things March

It’s almost Friday! This has been a crazy busy week….I’m ready for the weekend, are you? Our fireplace is still in action since March is still dealing us some cold temps. As much as I’m ready for spring, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’ll miss having a fire in our fireplace as the temps start to warm up. Now on to more of what I’m crushing on in March…

I’ve been wanting a round mirror for over our fireplace and I found one at Target that is perfect! I love that the color of wood stain is similar to our flooring and the refective timeless look is just what our mantel needed.
Heather and I spent a weekend visiting Allison at Mizzou recently. We had the BEST cocktails at The Barred Owl in Columbia, MO. Many of their cocktails are their own creations.
The bartenders press fresh juices, shrub seasonal produce, procure interesting and small-batch spirits, concoct bitters, infuse liquors, craft cordials, and design cocktails for every palate. I HIGHLY recommend it if you ever find yourself in Columbia, MO. Sit at the bar, because the bartenders are fascinating and passionate about their libations — like the Chester Copperpot (see video below that I took of the bartender making us this drink!)
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I spent a few days last week in San Jose, CA at Google for the Mediavine Conference. Connecting with old friends, and new is always the best part of any blogging conference, but attending the Google campus each day, and hearing from the Google peeps themselves was pretty awesome as well!! Oddly enough, we had nicer weather at home in St. Louis while I was gone. Sunnyville, CA was all rain and chilly to cold temps. CRAZY!!
My birthday was this week and I got a Nespresso Insissia with Aeroccino!! I’m still trying to learn how to use it and understand everything about it….but I did make a pretty mean Flat White with it yesterday!! If anyone has any tips, or recipes they want to share, leave them in the comments.
I’ve been eyeing these sandals. What do you think? Should I buy them?
I’ve been using this foot cream (yes FOOT cream!) on my hands, and it’s making them incredibly soft!!
This patio decor really has me itching for warm weather and sitting out on the deck!!
Have you ever wondered what reality TV auditions are like? Read about it from a MasterChef survivor – it’s insane!!
I’ll be making another batch of these cookies soon!!
I had my second lash lift recently and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! It’s like a perm for your lashes and lasts about eight weeks. I also picked up a new volumizing mascara that is the bomb!! My lashes look incredible!
Have you joined the TidyMom Facebook community? I would love for you to join, ask questions and share what you are creating, cleaning and cooking/baking!

Thank you again for the party this week. It looks really relaxing by that fire!
Get the shoes, love the patio furniture, can’t even look at the cookies.
I have always had extremely dry feet with deep, deep cracks and have tried many, many products over the years. I was referred to this foot cream by a Target pharmacist and the last time my feet looked this good and were this soft might have been 45 years ago when I was in junior high – it’s a miracle product. I’ve also been rubbing it onto my elbows and knees, where I had callused areas that just would not go away, and they have almost totally disappeared. For more major hand issues they make a hand cream – and a body lotion. It’s downright cheap and I’ve noticed it in many stores since I started using it – even the hardware store!
oh good to know about the foot cream! I plan to start using it on my feet soon to get them ready for sandals!!
have a great weekend!
I hope your March has started out super! Thanks for hosting!

This whole room is so beautiful! I love all the neutral colors, I love the textures, and the patterns. This is for sure inspiration! I also really like the round mirror above the fireplace, it adds a lot of elegance to the room. Great post!
I love how you decorated the mantle. What a find with that beautiful round mirror.
