Ever been at a BBQ and wanted both a burger AND a brat? Johnsonville’s Brat Burger combines both for a wonderful mouth-watering experience!
I was recently asked to give the new Johnsonville Brat burgers a try. Have you seen them? They are sold at exclusively at Walmart in the frozen hamburger section. Honestly, frozen burger patties have never really impressed me, but brats….I love! So I thought what the heck, lets give ’em a try.
We had tickets to a Cardinals game the other night, and instead of paying for pricey hotdogs or burgers at Busch Stadium I thought it would be the perfect night to throw some brat burgers on the grill.
I love that you cook them frozen…..so if I’m having one of those “I forgot to take something out for dinner nights”, I can just grab these and toss them on the grill, heat up a can of Grillin’ Beans, toss a quick salad and by then our burgers are ready to eat all under 20 minutes!
How did they taste?
A lot of pre-made frozen burgers fail to live up to their promise. But these brat burger perform over the top! The burgers were nice and big out of the box and on the grill held their shape and size very well! They browned beautifully, stayed together, were juicy, and well seasoned. It’s like “the perfect burger”.
My family isn’t a fan of “fancy goopey” burgers, so we just added a little garlic salt and topped with mustard and served on toasted buns that I buttered and put on the grill. But you can do almost any thing to these “not so ordinary burgers” to make them EXTRAORDINARY!
