Stay Fabulous Foundation | I’m Lovin’ It

 

I love trying new makeup, and beauty products, and discussing them here with you all.  Like many busy moms, most days we are lucky if we have time for the bare bones basics. So I was super excited when Proctor & Gamble sent me their new COVERGIRL® Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation! It provides full coverage that lasts all day by combining primer, foundation and concealer in a longwear formula.

My mission was to put this foundation to the test!  See if it could outlast my day. 

I gave it a go this past Sunday. 

Now bear with me…….I know there are a lot of websites and youtube channels out there showing you beautiful make up tutorials on beautiful young women…….but today, I’m going to talk about make up on a 40-something with imperfections and all! 😉 (all pictures are taken with my iPhone)

Here I am after putting on my make up and my hair up in a pony tail!! After growing my hair out for the last year an a half, you don’t know how exciting it is to wear it up in a ponytail lol.

Now, to be honest, I was a little worried about trying a liquid foundation, because I made the switch to mineral powder foundation a few years ago.  But I was pleasantly surprised at how the COVERGIRL® Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation felt on my skin!  It wasn’t thick, and I used very little and still got great coverage.  I loved that I was able to skip my primer and my cover up.  In the picture above I’m only wearing the Outlast Stay Fabulous foundation and blush on my face, along with my favorite mascara and lip gloss.

House hunting and errands were on our agenda for the day.  We’ve been wanting to move for the last year, but haven’t had much luck finding anything.  There is one house I wanted about 2 years ago, but it wasn’t available at that time, and we just found out it’s available!

Excited, we all piled in the car for the quick drive .   Steve insisted on driving with the windows down, since it was such a gorgeous windy warm spring day………. we fell in love with the house, just like I knew we would.  We’ll be moving in late May or early June!  I can’t tell you how excited I am to have more room, more cabinets, more closets, a finished basement a FIREPLACE  and…..A GARAGE!!!  (can’t wait to try some food photography in the garage!) 

The house is only about 5-10 minutes from where we currently live, but we wanted more room.  We haven’t moved in 16 years……we are NOT looking forward to actually moving, but super excited about getting settled in!

We ran a few errands, then back to the house to cook dinner.  While it was a gorgeous 71 outside, it was a sweltering 78 in side, with my oven and stove on…….

I was melting, and remembered I needed to take another picture to show how well my make-up was lasting……I was a bit nervous  I thought for sure I would be a mess.  Between the wind in my face and hair most of the day, and the heat in the kitchen I wasn’t sure what to expect.

 I was thrilled to see that the COVERGIRL® Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation looked almost as good as it did when I put it on that morning!   I love that it cut down on the time I spent putting on my make-up, gave me great coverage with out looking cakey, corrected imperfections like a concealer and perfected with a beautiful, matte finish!
