One of my favorite cupcake girls is away……….and she asked me to share something special on her blog while she’s gone.

So come on over, I’m hanging out at Confessions of a Cookbook Queen!
What am I sharing over there?
Here’s a little hint……..
It’s Ooey

So come on over………..
I GET TO WEAR THE CROWN TODAY!

Looks lovely!
Hi Cheryl! I found you through Kristan the Cookbook Queen. Your site just feels like a big cheery hug–so glad I found you. Also, this cake is killing me. Happy New Year!
My husband loves Gooey Butter cake! I’ll have to check out the recipe!
Oh, yum!
Going over to check out your guest post now but re your post yesterday…thank you so much for mentioning Frosting for the Cause and if you are still interested in carrying on with your I’m Lovin’ It Link-Up Party in 2011 then I’m sure most of your followers will participate. I know I certainly will.
I love your blog and your recipes, but is there any way that I can print the recipes. I am not computer savvy, so I have not figures out how to print two pages when the recipes takes more than one page. Thanks!
I’m planning to add an easy feature to print in the next few weeks……..but for now, this post should help http://beautifulblogdesigns.com/how-to-use-print-friendly/
Cheryl, I’ve made Paula Deen’s recipe for Gooey Butter Cakes {with versions like pumpkin, pb & chocolate, etc}… thinking it was HER idea. I had no clue this was a recipe with a long history. Thanks for sharing. But oh how I wish I hadn’t over indulged in the holidays… January will be a no bake month in which I TRY to shed these pounds. But, this sounds like the perfect treat for Valentine’s Day.
You are so cute!!! That cake is calling to me!!!
This sounds so yummy! I don’t have yellow cake mix, will try french vanilla.
The recipe sounds delightful! Thanks so much for sharing!
Question: how do you turn the cake out out of the pan? In the last pic it looks like you’ve transfered it to a board for cutting. Do you flip it out of the pan, then flip it right side down? I wondered if it’s too gooey for all that flipping around…
Thanks!
