This week was a crazy tough week. Filled with so many mixed emotions, from joy, to sympathy, to love and community, to frustration and back to sympathy again.

That’s a LOT to take in, in one week!  I hope many of you were able to enjoy a ‘peanut butter pie‘ with your families.  If you missed it, Todd and Diane, the incredible team of White on Rice, did their ‘thing’ and put together an extraordinary video tribute to Mikey, Jennie and how the the food blogging community rallied in support.

This morning it was such a welcome relief to sit at my computer with a steaming cup of coffee and enjoy what all have you have been up to!  You all inspire me ………..here’s a few that caught my eye this week.

Peanut Butter Banana Cream Pie Parfaits – I want to devour the page! @ Family Fresh Cooking

Celebrate the first day of school with a cup ‘o joe and and this cute Back to School Coffee invite @ Jac o’ Lyn Murphy

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding …it’s like eating a peanut butter cup with a spoon! @ This Chick Cooks

We have a lavender farm near us, I think I need to go so I can make some  Lavender Salt and Sugar for gifting (and some for me!) @ Nifty Thrifty Things

Great idea for a delicious dinner in no time Barbeque Shrimp Skewers (this is going on my menu for next week!) @ A Little Nosh

Make a cute and easy Fabric Flower Hair Clip @ Skip to My Lou

Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Butter Cream would be a perfect after school treat! @ The Farm Girl

Make mornings run more smoothly with little ones with a Rise and Shine Routine Chart @ Happy Home Fairy

There are SO many more great great ideas! If you missed the party and still want to link up, it’s open thru Sunday evening.

My son, Logan and I were able to share a peanut butter pie in honor of Jennie and Mikey with members of our church on Sunday. I wasn’t sure I would be able to comply with the request due to slightly injuring my back on Friday afternoon, but Logan saved the day. He made the pie on Saturday evening for Sunday’s gathering. He is 13 and amazing. So thanks for sharing your recipe and giving us a memory to share in our own kitchen of honor of a great love. . what a teachable moment.
