Ummmm, could someone PLEASE tell me how this happened?
Our baby, our youngest, started her Junior year of high school yesterday! That can’t be possible.
This year, we no longer have have to rush out the door with her in the morning, or stop what I’m doing at 2pm to go pick her up. She’s driving herself to school, and as much as that scares me to death, I would be lying if I didn’t tell you how good it feels to not have that chore every day.
Can you believe she had homework already?
aaaaaand she could not find her graphing calculator from last year! {sigh} but we were in luck! We grabbed my Windows Phone and checked the Market Place, and sure enough, there was a graphing calculator app with five star reviews!
I quickly pinned it to my main screen……..she can’t lose that! HA!
The front screen of the Windows Phone is one of my favorite features with it’s changing icons. It shows me current weather conditions (no need to click to see them), changing status updates from family and friends, my, I can keep track of how much water I’ve drank, or find a public restroom………ALL on my main screen. Static icons are so yesterday! The Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone shows you everything that’s important to YOU all in one glance.

I loved seeing my friends again, especially the ones who were away for the summer at camp or on family vacation trips.
I liked shopping for school supplies. Now I like shopping for supplies during Back to School because they are one sale.

My favorite part was the excitement; it was always fun to start something new. I also loved the weather changing and cooling off. School just felt like a great way to settle in for the winter. Of course, by spring time I was ready to be out of there!
I loved everything about back to school, especially getting new clothes and school supplies. Although I will be sad when my son finally goes to school, part of me is also sad that we don’t participate in all the back-to-school fun yet.

This is dorky, but I loved the smell of the morning August air and the sounds of the afternoons coming through my windows.

Then we have a mini fashion show mixing new stuff with older stuff and seeing how many new combinations we can come up with….AND we take pictures, of course! My kiddos LOVE it!
Best part of back to school by far was the school clothes shopping!
favorite thing for me was getting my hair done and finding which friend I was going to walk to school with on the first day….after that, new and crisp uniform polos!!
I hated going to back to school, but I loved buying all the school supplies to keep myself organized 🙂

I loved school! One of my favorite memories is of going to the local five and dime store and buying all of my new school supplies. I loved the smells of new pencils and erasers!

I love the feeling of a fresh start. When I was growing up, I went to year-around school. I loved it. We got that “fresh start feeling” often. 🙂

I love buying new school supplies
My favorite thing about back to school was getting new supplies- everything was nice and clean and new.
My favorite things about back to school are: 1)the season in which it all begins… the change in the air, the change in the plants, trees, and the vegetable garden- it is as if it is telling me something wonderful is about to begin. 2)as a child-getting new supplies, as a parent, taking the kiddos to pick out their supplies. 3)finally, as a student getting the new styles of clothing or receiving my older sisters cool clothes, as a parent, not seeing the same clothes on my children or worn in the same way if they are handed down. Having two girls with totally different body types, it is like having new clothes all over again.
I always liked the new clothes and seeing friends.
I LOVED getting new school supplies each year! A few weeks before school started, my next door neighbor and I would each bring out our new bookbags, filled with new supplies, and look at each and every item. Funny how getting a new bottle of glue and box of crayones brought so much excitement!
I loved the smell of fresh cut grass on the playground.
