Sugar Scrubs
I’m not all that crafty. I love small projects. I like simple and quick. I get too impatient for projects that are too involved. That’s why I was just thrilled when Domino® / C&H® Sugar contacted me about making something from the homemade gift section of their site.
I hadn’t given much thought to using sugar in a gift unless it was for baking something yummy! So, it seemed only natural to give their homemade gifts a try. Domino® / C&H® Sugar was kind enough to send me a $20 gift card to help with the cost, as well!- now who could turn that down?!
After checking out their gift ideas, I instantly knew I wanted to try their Sugar Scrubs!
These easy-to-make sugar scrubs can have all the glamor of a luxurious spa gift. Add a glittery ribbon, a scented candle and a soothing music CD as the perfect complements to your gift basket. It’s just the right way to relax after a long day of baking!

I found your page through a ‘Pin’ looking for ideas for homemade holiday gifts. The ingredients in the brown sugar scrub should prove to be wonderfully fragrant. It’s a bit early to make the gifts, but I will be testing them out…on myself!
I like your presentation, too. Simple, yet festive.

Hi,
love how simple these are, but was wondering if a person could use like jojoba oil or almond oil instead of the olive oil. I’ve used olive oil before in a hand scrub and if I don’t use it right away, it seems to get rancid in a short period of time and I’ve heard jojoba oil has a longer shelf life? Also, I bought some vitamin caplets and thought I could open them up for the oil? Would this work, and if not where or where do you find the vitamin E oil? Thanks for your awesome scrubs though!

These will have a very short shelf life without a preservative — warn giftees not to get any water in the jars. That will introduce bacteria very quickly.

I love these types of DIY gifts that have so much more meaning than something bought! However, you had me at cinnamon. =)
