We are ALL amazing! Did you know that part of being amazing means we need to take care of our bodies, and that starts with taking care of our heart!
We as parents are all too aware that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we can take care of our heart by eating a “heart healthy” breakfast. Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day, and nothing beats a quick and easy bowl of Quaker Oatmeal, it sets the tone for the rest of the day. I like to mix in a little peanut butter or top with some fruit and if I have a little extra time my family loves Baked Peanut Butter Oatmeal.
Eating right, exercise and education—are key steps to taking care of your heart.
Get a good breakfast. Every day.
Get enough rest.
Get regular exercise.
Find more time to enjoy life.
Maintain a positive attitude.
You’re never to old or to young to start taking care of your heart. February is American Heart Month and Quaker is celebrating by donating $1.00 to the American Heart Association for each current Facebook fan and every new person who “likes” the Quaker Facebook Page during the month of February (up to $250,000). The money donated by Quaker will benefit the AHA’s new program My Heart. My Life, which helps bring healthy cooking curriculum to after-school organizations across the country! In addition, Quaker will donate $1, (up to $125,000), for each new Facebook “like.”
