I think most of us know the heartache of Dead Battery Syndrome. My iphone has become such a lifeline and important part of my life keeping me connected to friends and family and allows me to work while I’m away from home.
So my biggest fear is having my phone die when I’m out and about. When I travel, I have the biggest anxiety about seeing the dreaded 10% battery warning! This charger looks like a white plastic brick, and is about the size of a deck of cards and it’s the cream of the portable chargers crop! This charger can be charged from three different sources: a wall outlet, a computer’s USB jack or ….and I love this one……. the sun. That’s right! there is a solar panel on the back for topping off the charge.
The PowerTrip has a huge backup battery: 6,000 milliamps, enough to recharge an iPad once or a smartphone three times. I want this for my husband! He goes on 600K cycling trips and I’m always worried that he will have a dead battery when he needs it most. On the back, a silhouette of a road bike would be great!
Would love this for travel with the family. We always seem to be vying for the chargers for our electronics when we get back to the hotel, never enough outlets for all our stuff.

This would be so handy! It seems like I’m constantly running out of juice! I’m an avid audiobook listener, so I do some major damage to my batter. 🙂 As for the picture, I’d either do a pic of my kids or maybe make a simple graphic art pic of our family name, so it’s conveniently labeled.

I use my iPAD alot, both at home and work. It “dies” way too early for me. This would save me alot of annoyance and delays in completing the days’ tasks…..
Historically, I have taken an extra battery for my android and carried it with me. It’s a pain to do it that way (because I’m not real good at switching batteries, that is something better left to those with fingernails!) but I work away from the office alot and my batteries never make it the whole day. This would put a BIG SMILE on my face!
There are 4 kids in our family, 5 if you include me……which my wife does. Sigh. Anyway, we tend to camp out and there is no electricity for miles. I need to be available to my Mother who is elderly and occasionally needs help. Luckily she lives not far from our house, so I can easily run over……..if I KNOW she needs something.
I take the girls to the park and let them play, I watch them. Most of the time I haven’t charged up my android beforehand, so I can’t make productive use of that time. Also, sometimes my son comes along and of course he has his “ever-present” gameboy.
We live “out in the sticks” where we often have power outtages. I like candles, but they don’t work very well. I sometimes need to use my cell phone like a flashlight and it’s no good if it isn’t charged, which tends to happen.

I would have LOVED TO HAVE THIS a couple of months ago. The bank screwed up and my electricity payment bounced. The electric company gal (who needs some sensitivity training) said I needed to run down THAT DAY and make the payment, or my power would be cut. I got there and submitted the payment at 4:58pm and she didn’t process it until the next day…..so we had no electricity that night. Of course my android was hungry…..
I travel alot and spend a good deal of time at airports, waiting for flights, etc. Often the plug in are not accessible in the waiting area, so this would be a life saver!!
I would like to win this! We spend a good deal of time in airports, waiting between flights. The passigner waiting areas tend to be in the middle of the room, no-where near a wall/outliet. My “toys” (as my wife calls them) ar NO FUN if you can’t turn them on……….
