Do you have a room in your house that could use a fresh new look? If you despise the prep or clean-up parts of a painting project, then you are going to love this giveaway!
Late last year, we got rid of the old carpet in our family room and replaced it with laminate wood flooring – which I LOVE!
While all the furniture was out of the room, I decided it was the perfect time to get rid of the old dark color on the walls!
I decided to brighten up this room, get rid of the country decor and paint the walls a very light gray with white trim. My curtains are yellow with brown and gray – they are the inspiration for my new space.
The folks at Procter & Gamble have a few products to make the dreaded tasks of painting prep and clean up a breeze!
I have always been a big fan of the Swiffer Sweepers. Not only are they great on furniture and floors, did you know they are wonderful for getting cobwebs off the corners of your walls and dust off the hard-to-reach places as well? The head of the Sweeper swivels a full 360 degrees, making it easy to move around corners and the pole allows for easy floor to ceiling reach, and baseboards, windows, doorways, too.
Since I choose to just paint our existing stained baseboards white, I needed to make sure they were good and clean. That’s where Mr. Clean Magic Erasers came in! Did you know you can now get them in select a size? Those things are genius I tell you! I’m amazed at what all you can clean with the Magic Erasers – they are unstoppable.

So, here is where I am now. After the new floors and new paint……..you know what came next right? New furniture!! You may not know this about me, but when it comes to making large purchases………I’m TERRIBLE! I can’t make a decision, so it usually ends up taking me months, or never, which is why you don’t see me updating our house too much. I’m a terrible decision maker!
But sometimes when you see IT…….you just know it! I saw this Martha Stewart Saybridge Sofa from Macy’s a few weeks ago, then it went on sale President’s Day weekend! and knew I found my true love! It has the style and elegance I wanted, with the size my 6’4″ husband wanted.
So the sofa and love seat will be delivered soon. I actually received an email while I was writing this post that they are ready to schedule delivery!! {SQUEAL}
So next up, I’ll be looking for a new rug, new tables, get rid of the roll-top oak desk (that was from my bedroom when I was growing up!) and possibly a new TV stand. And fun stuff for the walls! I want to keep the window treatments, I purchased them last year, and love them.
How about you? Can you decorate with your eyes closed, or are you like me and take forever to make every single decision? At least I know it’s clean!
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED. Congrats to Leslie Moore.

I always stress that the color is all wrong so….I think my favorite part of painting is seeing that first wide swath going up. “happy sigh”
I love the planning of it all. Then I like to leave and let the elves do it! 🙂
Hopping over from I Am Baker. Happy Belated Birthday!
I like to pick out the color. Everything else is just hard work lol
I love picking out the colors because then I start dreaming about what I want the room to look like.
My favorite part is seeing the results!
I love that “new room” smell!!!!!! 🙂
I love seeing the transition from what I didn’t like to what I love!
My favorite part of a finished project is the end result and seeing what a difference paint color can make. 🙂
My favorite part is picking out the paint color–so many options to choose from!
I love picking out the colors!
I love picking out the colors!!! I feel like a kid in a candy store looking at the samples!
Picking out the colors! Love it!! So many colors to choose from!
Picking out colors is fun, but my favorite part is when it’s all done and you get to sit back and relax (with a cup of coffee) in the finished room. 🙂 I also shared on Facebook and pinterest.
I like picking out new colirs
Shared on my FB page!
I like picking out the paint colors and how the room looks when it is finished.
The best part is finishing the project.
My fave parts of painting are picking out the color and getting everything organized to get ready to paint; and of course the finished product.
I love picking the color out and watching hubby do the rest of the work. I’ll clean up but only because I think thats fair to him (not that crazy about that step).
i actually like to tape!
Love all home projects…especially when they are completed…with that perfect decorating touch!!
When I’m finished!
I love putting that first roller of paint & seeing the transformation!!
I enjoy picking out the color, since there are so many color options these days!
I actually like pulling off the paint tape when everything is done. It’s so nice to see the nice, crisp line.
I love how fresh and clean the room feels with a fresh coat of paint!
I like re-arranging the furniture after painting the room a new color.
I like picking out the color and the actual paint the walls part.
I hate almost every part of painting.. I hate moving all the furniture out, draping everything taping, cutting in. The only thing I like (besides a new look to the room) is after all the prep work and trim is done, rolling the paint on. It makes me feel like I’m accomplishing something.
We are currently renting but looking to buy. I am looking forward to painting all over! So tired of “apartment white” walls. We haven’t purchased a house yet, but I already like admiring paint colors and thinking about what colors I might want.
My favorite thing about painting is seing the room transform with the colors you choose
I love picking out the colors the most and then using the roller. Taping off trim and washing the walls beforehand are my least favorite parts.
My favorite part is selecting the color!
Love to pick out colors & tape the room!
Seeing it done. 🙂
My most favorite part of painting is when it’s all done! It always seems to take longer than I would like for it to take.
Picking out which color I want to paint the room is definitely my favorite part of a painting project.
Picking out a color.
I love when we start actually slapping on the paint. To see the new color transform the space is magical!!

My favorite part of a painting project would be getting into the action, the actual painting action itself. It’s always fun to see how a room transform just by painting the walls in different colors. Plus, it’s really fun and great exercise. 😉 I’m planning to re-paint and decorate the current guest room so my little girl can finally gets her own room. Can’t wait.

My favorite part of a painting project is picking the color.
I shared on FB.
I posted on my blog htp://www.cybercookscookingcorner.blogspot.com
The part of painting project I like the most is picking the color.
My favorite part of painting, is trimming out the room. I actually like to paint the walls, too. I love to see the transformation.
I like the final result 🙂
I really don’t mind painting at all. To me it is actually exciting! I guess my least favorite part is taping around the baseboards and windows and favorite part is actually rolling on the paint. We are military and when we live on base, we not only paint the plain white walls when we move in, but I have to paint them back to white when we move out.
The part of a painting project that I like most is trim work. Seems crazy, i know, but something about the perfection required with that task, pleases this perfectionist! LOL
I love picking out the colors.
The part I love the most is….THE END!
