If there is o n e thing I truly know,
o n e thing you should always trust me on,
it’s SIMPLICITY.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again,
when it comes to recipes and projects….
I. Like. Simple.
So today folks,
I bring you simple
you can’t get much easier than this!
Looks yummy doesn’t it?
Want to know my secret?
Yep!
That’s it!
Unless you’d like meat in your sauce (like we do)
you will need one pound of ground beef as well.
Cheese Tortellini with meat sauce
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 (24 ounce) jar of your favorite red pasta sauce (we love Robusto Ragu Six Cheese)
- 1 bag frozen cheese tortellini
- Optional for serving: Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Add meat to a large saucepan, season with garlic salt, and brown over medium-high heat. Drain fat, add pasta sauce, and simmer for about 20 minutes
- While the sauce is simmering bring a pot of water to boil, and add frozen tortellini. Turn down temp slightly and simmer for 6 mins. Drain.
- Serve with sauce over tortellini, sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese if desired.

I have made this a quite a few times already and my daughter likes it a lot. I use the chicken filled tortellini instead of the cheese filled. It is a favorite in our house.
Sounds good. Will have tonight with garlic bread. Looking forward to good Italian taste. Matthew
Tried a few of your recipes and loved them. I’m not a very good cook, but your recipes make it so simple and easy. The pictures are great also. Got many compliments when I made your key lime cake yesterday for St. Patrick’s Day. Making your cheese tortellini with meat sauce tonight. Thank you!!!!
