A few of my personal favorite ways to use Baking Soda:
Clean combs and brushes
Keep your combs and brushes free of natural oil build-up and hair product residue by soaking combs and brushes in a solution of 1 teaspoon of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda in a small basin of warm water. Rinse and allow to dry.
Bring Sour Sponges back to life
Soak stale-smelling sponges in a strong ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda solution to get rid of the mess and bring in the fresh (4 tablespoons of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda dissolved in 1 quart of warm water).

I never thought about using it to strip wall paper! Everyone knows taking down wall paper is no fun and If it gets the job done faster its worth a try!
This is not a new use, but it is my favorite way to use baking soda. If your drain is slow-moving or clogged, pour baking soda down the drain. Pour hot vinegar down it next. Than follow it up with boiling water. Repeat if necessary. It works!

I love baking soda and use for so many things. My top faves are cleaning the shower (works great on soap scum), cleaning my kitchen sink to a sparkling shine, and detox baths (1 cup baking soda and 1 cup epsom salt helps to draw out toxins in the better and helps you to get better faster when sick). We love our detox baths in this house.

I use it in the wash, mixed with lavender oil to sprinkle on mattresses (carpets too!) before vacuuming, and to scrub citrus fruits with before using the peels to make my citrus vingegar!
Its a staple in our house 🙂

I sprinkle Baking Soda all over my sink and a bunch down my garbage disposal (it’s cheap so I am liberal with it!) I scrub the sink really good. Then I pour some vinegar down the disposal and let it sit a minute. Then I send a couple ice cubes down and run to sharpen the disposal. Then I put an older piece of citrus fruit (or pick one here in FL). I run the disposal again and rinse everything. It ends up so clean and shiny and smells like whatever fruit I used!
I sprinkle it in my to go coffee mug. I live in FL so if I forget my coffee in the car just 1 day it smells really bad. So I sprinkle in the mug and let it sit a bit. Then I scrub it out and wash and that usually does the trick!!
This would work great in sippy cups too that were in the car too long.
Baking soda kills crab grass! It really does, we tried it!

We recently had some FUN with baking soda. My 9 year old son saw the idea on TV and we just had to try it – right then (seriously, he would not stop begging until we did it). So we got a tupperware dish (a tallish one) with matching lid. We then poked a whole in the middle of the lid – about a inch. Now fill up the tupperware dish halfway with vinegar and then stir in a bunch of liquid dish soap. Tip – do this trick outside! Then when you are in an area that can get nice and messy dump in some baking soda and super quickly put the lid on the tupperware. Insta Volcano! It will shoot through the whole you made in the lid. The kids had so much fun with this!
