Fun easy craft! Make salt dough Easter ornaments or a pendant necklace.
My friend Cathy at Cobblestone Farms is always making awesome salt dough ornaments for every season and holiday!
All you need is:
Salt-dough Ornament Recipe
2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. salt
1 c. warm water
Mix salt and flour – add water and knead. (add a touch of flour if sticky, a touch of water if to dry)
Supplies Needed:
- Cookie Sheets
- No stick Spray
- Cookie cutters (optional)
- Wire
- wire cutters
- Craft Paint
- Paint brushes
- Clear coat spray paint
Lightly spray cookie sheets and shape the dough with your hands or cookie cutters into whatever you desire.
Insert wire into all ornaments.
Bake at 325° for about an hour, adjust time according to how large or small you make your pieces.
Let cool and paint. Then give them coat mine with “clear” spray paint to finish.
Hop over to get all of the details on how to make salt dough ornaments. Cathy even makes them as pendants to string on some ribbon for an adorable Easter necklace!
These would make adorable Easter or Spring Favors for class parties.
