Sometimes we all need little reminders to inspire and motivate us. Today I am hoping to do just that with these 8 Free Self-Encouragement Printables.
A few months ago I, once again, found my self listening to author, researcher and self-improvement guru Brené Brown’s 2010 TEDx Houston talk, The Power of Vulnerability. It has been viewed more than 20 million times and is one of the top five most viewed TED talks in the world. If you haven’t heard it, it’s worth the 20 minutes!
I first heard Brené Brown speak to my soul as the keynote speaker at a blogging conference several years ago. I left wanting to be better — believing I am better. She challenges you to be vulnerable, real, courageous and convinces you that you can be whoever you want to be. Every so often I listen to that talk, when I know I need the “pep talk”.
“These folks had, very simply, the courage to be imperfect. They had the compassion to be kind to themselves first and then to others, because, as it turns out, we can’t practice compassion with other people if we can’t treat ourselves kindly. And the last was they had connection, and — this was the hard part — as a result of authenticity, they were willing to let go of who they thought they should be in order to be who they were, which you have to absolutely do that for connection. The other thing that they had in common was this: They fully embraced vulnerability. They believed that what made them vulnerable made them beautiful.” ~Brené Brown
While listening to the TED phenom that day, I was making a printable for my office….. Today I Choose to Be Happy, when I was inspired by 7 of my favorite Brené Brown quotes. I ended up making a total of 8 Self-Encouragement Printables

Many of us spend so much of our lives trying to live up to always having a clean house, homemade meals or that we’re never in our pajamas at three in the afternoon. And we push other’s away because we think we aren’t enough.
Go ahead and vacuum every day, make homemade bread and plan the perfect party, if it makes you happy. But know, you are enough without them.
Open the door friends. It doesn’t matter if there is dirt on the floor, dishes in the sink, fast food on the table or if you haven’t showered today: it’s life, perfect isn’t real and YOU ARE ENOUGH.

What makes you happy?

Thank you so much for these! I will be using all of them but especially the “I am enough” affirmation. You’d think after 50+ decades I’d know and believe that I *am* enough, but my relationships have taught me otherwise. This will help me remember that I am enough – I just need to choose my relationships with greater care and wisdom! 🙂
OOPS!!! My previous comment should have read “5+ decades” or “50+ years”. 😮
Love these! Thank you!
