Taking pictures has always been something I’ve enjoyed! Even way before blogging, I was always the one with the camera taking all the pictures. I love that blogging has allowed me the opportunity to grow that passion, and learn more about photography……all at the same time that iphoneography has taken the world by storm. There’s a rare moment that we don’t have our phones on us to capture memories and moments. As cool and handy as my iphone is, it can’t do what my big girl camera can do (think zoom lenses especially). 
There are times I will carry both my big dslr with my 28-75mm lens around and still take pictures with my iphone…..you know, because I can’t miss an opportunity to Instagram what I’m doing in the moment 😉 But most of the time, I leave my big girl camera at home, hoping to get “good enough” shots with my iphone. Several weeks ago, my friends at Staples offered to send me a camera that is a game changer!! The Samsung NX300 20.3 MP SMART Microless Camera With 20-50 mm Lens – what makes this little gem so special? 
This camera has WiFi capability! You can upload pictures from the camera to your phone or even straight to Facebook and videos right to YouTube. No more juggling 2 cameras! ….tell me I’m not the only one who takes a picture with their big camera, then whips out their iphone so they can share a picture on Facebook or Instagram. And lets take it a step further…….. The Samsung NX300 comes with a 20-50 mm retractable zoom lens in the box, but there are many other lenses that you can get for this camera (I want to get the 18-200mm) , great for those of us who don’t want the bulk of a DSLR camera. What really makes the NX300 stand out is it’s size….. just 12 ounces, which makes it easy to just toss in my purse. Now I don’t have to choose between using my phone or the DSLR! My daughters and I went to San Diego and stayed on Coronado Island at Hotel Del a few weeks ago. I took my dslr, my iphone and the NX300 with me, guess which one I used the most?! Below are just a few of the photos we took on our trip with the Samsung NX300
The girls were SO excited to be in Southern California for the first time!……and their first time seeing the Pacific Ocean. 
Hotel Del Coronado was even more beautiful in person! we can’t wait to go back!

We took a walk on Coronado Island one evening where you could see the San Diego skyline…….the Samsung NX300 did fabulous in the dark – this was shot with out a tripod. I’ll be honest, I’m in love with the gorgeous white leather, but it does come in black and brown as well I’ll be sharing a little more about our trip soon……but I couldn’t wait to share these photos with you AND give away a camera!! I love that it’s portable, that I’d be able to easily fit it in my purse.
The fact that the camera has the wifi capability makes it easy to upload and not to worry about having to download from the stick.

This camera is awesome. I like wifi and face book capabilities . Heck I just need a camera, I lost mine for 6 months ….found it, but now I can’t find the battery charger….such a bummer!

Seeing “Samsung” got my attention right away. I have been searching for a camera (other than on my phone) that is durable and the fact that WiFi is built in is an added bonus. This will make taking pictures of family and friends so much easier with this camera and sharing with other family and friends through Facebook and email. This sleek camera also holds the eye and having the lens to zoom means that taking pictures won’t come in so blurry.

I love that this camera provides amazing photos but it is also keeping in alignment with today’s social media technology. Specifically, the phone having a wifi connection makes it easy to share the photos with friends and family. I like having a choice though…whether or not to post a photo on facebook is a choice I think we all make daily…and reserving memory on my phone has become a battle. I find myself snapping photos on my phone – – but them I’m left waiting for my phone to work…with all the photos it slows down the performance of my cell phone. The light weight of the camera will also make it easy for me to take with me. Lugging around a diaper bag, my purse and snacks for my 2 year old is enough (if I’m having a good day I’ll also have a coffee in hand!). So when I do take my daughter to the park, an amusement park or we’re out an about it would be nice to have a light weight camera that I’m not having to lug around. The neck strap as we all know helps keep the camera away from little hands that don’t know how expensive and delicate a camera can be. I had a wonderful digital camera that I took everywhere with me. I documented every move I made…until the camera lens stopped working. Since then I haven’t been able to replace my old Samsung camera with one that I like…or can afford. I’m a single working mother who just got back into the college saddle…who works hard toI work hard to support my child. I would love to have a camera so that when I DO have moments with my daughter…why not do it on an amazing camera like this?!?!?! Good luck to everyone participating in this awesome giveaway!
