Dryer Sheet Tip & Pretty Laundry Rooms

You may remember that I was recently sent a box of Arm & Hammer Essentials Fabric Softener Sheets and I have to tell you what I’ve been doing with them! I’ve been keeping one softener sheet in the linen closet with our towels, and one in the chest with our extra sheets. Oh MY! Every time I pull out a towel or fresh sheets they smell wonderfully fresh! Like they just came out of the laundry.
Let’s face it, we spend a lot of time doing laundry.
It’s not a “fun” task, but it can be more enjoyable in a pretty space.
Kevin and Amanda make great use of a small laundry room space
Jen blows my mind with all her special touches on her dark laundry room, turned gorgeous beach theme laundry room
Even a space as small as a bathroom stall can be turned into a pretty laundry space, like Young House Love did with theirs.
I’m participating in The Switch & Save Challenge, trying a variety of Arm & Hammer products and sharing my experiences with you!

i wish we could see some help with laundry in garages
My dream laundry room would be to have a real laundry room for starters. Mine is in the garage and in FL it gets super hot in the summer and believe it or not cold in the winter. There is maybe a week out of the year where the weather makes it tolerable to do my laundry. I would then move onto a nice front loading pair, a nice big wash sink and a big counter for folding clothes. Oh and don’t forget the ever needed storage.
I like tidy mom on facebook too.
My Dream laundry room has red front loading machines, and is painted in shades of white and charcoal.
Why you ask? Laundry is a never ending project that I believe would be much more fun if it was spicy…baskets to hold my laundry day findings and supplies, shelving to store the dryer sheets and extras and a comfortable chair to sit and sort socks in 🙂
Small things make the day better!
In my dream laundry room the laundry would fold itself! Ha! I would love having a front loading washer and dryer with separate bins under for each kid to come get their clothes! With teal, silver and white colors!
My dream laundry room is one that doesn’t have a cat box in it.

My dream laundry room would have new, energy efficient appliances (not too sure about the front loading washers). I would love cabinets to the ceiling & wraparound shelving too & a soft, rubber mat to make standing easier.

I’ve always thought that a large laundry / crafting area would be nice to have. Why? Why do I think laundry and crafting to together??? 🙂
I tweeted this as well!
My dream laundry room would include an attendant to wash and fold all my clothes for me 😉

My dream laundry room has lots of natural light and also a light fixture with a fan
Has shelves to keep all detergents organized and a front load washer/dryer. It also has a table to fold the clean clothes and an area to hang the ones that need to be ironed. The colors on the wall are different hues of blue with white. There is also a little radio playing nature inspired music. I love doing laundry, but folding and putting away is not my favorite activity. So the music could help make it easier.

In my dream laundry room, I’d have soft colors, tons of baskets, and a comfy place to sit and fold.
I dream laundry room would be one that is relaxing and has a machine that does all the laundry for me – including folding and ironing – ha ha – I am dreaming but this would really be the ideal!!
My dream laundry room would have a new washer and dryer. I would have plenty of room to fold the clothes when they are done. I would have plenty of room for storage of my detergent.

My dream laundry room would have cabinets that I could reach(to put things out of sight intstead of shelves that are too high and it all looks cluttered), and a place to hang clothers that is wider than six inches, and those wall hanger thingies that store your broom and stuff off the floor. It would have lovely soothing colors, and art, and a huge framed piece of tin so I could put all my magnets on it that no longer go on the fridge (why didn’t anybody tell me that stainless doesn’t do magnets?).
But with that said, my current laundry room is SOOO much better than my previous laundry closet. I’m grateful for it.
I would love a laundry room where I could sit and relax while I wait for loads of laundry to be done! Maybe I would even read a little in there.

A large room with plenty of counter space and a sink. Energy efficient appliances are a must.

I would love to have a new set of washer and dryer, preferably front-load. I would also have a area for folding clothes, like a counter or a table. It would have a hanging area so I could hang up the clothes that need to be hung right out of the dryer. I’m not really sure what the color scheme would be. Maybe red with cream accents?
