A garage is a great place to keep equipment, tools and cars, but it can quickly become overcrowded with bikes, lawn care tools and toys. Leaving everything on the floor wastes tons of available space. Monkey Bars Garage Storage Systems help you take advantage of your space and organize your garage.
We moved to this house 9 months ago, after living 16 years with out a garage. I can’t begin to tell you how excited we were to have a garage. Needless to say, we were pretty clueless on how to organize the garage and of course on moving day, it’s where things were dumped, and the mess was starting to get a little out of hand.
I wanted to get a system in place before it got out of hand. So I was super excited when the wonderful people at Monkey Bars Garage Storage Systems reached out and asked if we could work together on a garage storage system for our house.
There was one wire shelf in the back corner of the garage when we moved in, and we had two industrial free standing shelves that we brought with us…..it wasn’t enough.
I knew at this rate, it would soon become impossible to get the cars inside. It was already at the point that only my car fit, Allison’s Jeep and Steve’s truck had to stay in the driveway. What good is a two car garage if you can’t fit two cars in it?
Enter……Ray, with Monkey Bars in St. Louis. He came over to our house back in December. He took a look at our garage then and we sat in our kitchen and discussed what would work best for our family. Monkey Bar Garage Systems are designed for efficiency. Their patented hook and bar system allows you to store three times more items than any other storage system.
The integrated, adjustable & expandable system itself is able to effectively organize long- and short-term storage items by using the vertical space in garages. You can organize, bikes, tools, folding chairs and many other items you store in your garage in less than 1/3 of the space of other systems! Utilizing steel brackets, shelving and hooks, the system can take on a variety of sizes based on your needs.
We have empty shelves yet to fill and the new wall cabinet is perfect for my husband to store chemicals he uses for work.
How it works
The bars, which slide into brackets that support the upper shelving, give place for the variety of hooks that can hold everything from bikes and golf bags to shovels, wheelbarrows and surf boards. Secured with a 3 x 3/8 inch screw in the centers of wall studs, the system is capable of holding up to 1,000 pounds every 4 feet! how fabulous is that?! check out this video to see Monkey Bars in action.
Getting all of our tools out of the small trashcan, makes them much more accessible, and safer to get to.
I’m totally in love with how organized the garage is now thanks to Monkey Bars Garage Storage Systems! Garage storage and organization has never been this simple!

My biggest obstacle is living with an obsessive tool hoarder. (seriously – 2 full size rolling craftsman tool chests and at least 2 workbenches covered with stuff)
When anyone in our family can’t find a place to put something…it goes in the garage! WE NEED HELP!
Biggest Obstacle is finding a place for everything to look neat and tidy! Love your ideas, and would love to have the Garden Tools rack from Monkey Bars!

There is just too much stuff in our garage – so overwhelming to organize!
My biggest obstacles are MY HUSBAND and SON> LOL they just aren’t organizers.
We just have too much stuff and it all ends up in the garage.
We definitely have too much “stuff” in the garage and it should be organized!
Our garage is only half-finished, so the partial walls make it difficult to set up organizational pieces
My husband loves to go to auctions and he buys things we do not need. These things end up in our garage. Over time it has become a total mess! We need some organization.
Tools everywhere!!! My husband doesn’t put anything up. No organization skills.
My biggest obstacle when it comes to garage organization is all my potted plant/seed supplies. It’s everywhere. Help! Great giveaway, thanks for the chance.
Too much stuff and not an organized way to keep it up off the floor.
There is so much stuff! there is literally a path we can walk through to get out of the garage, but the rest of the space is taken up
Space and the right system!
We cannot get our garage organized! It seems we just shuffle stuff from one area to another. Would love help with this! Thanks
Our biggest obstacle is after remodeling a space in our house, we throw wood scraps and things “we think we might use later” out in the garage…what a mess!
My children’s scooters and toys.
We have a small house, so there are many things that have to be stored in the garage, including a lot of toys… It is so difficult to keep things organized. 🙂
My biggest obstacle is lack of storage/shelving. Most everything is on the ground, we do have garden and lawn tools on the wall, but that’s about all that is organized.
When the seasons change – bringing in the patio furniture and the flower pots etc and trying to find room for all of it again
My biggest problem is not having a garage. When we moved here we had a carport and my hubby closed it in so that he could have a shop for all his tools etc. He built another carport for my car and his truck. We could use the tool rack for all of his gardening tools. (The link above got an error message)
When we can’t find a place for it in the house or want something out of sight “temporarily”, it gets stacked up in the garage only to be forgotten about and left there permanently.
My biggest obstacle is knowing where to start. We’ve accumulated so much stuff and I have hoarding tendencies, too. 🙂
.it’s space that I need. I have no garage, but I do have a garden/storage shed but it is so small.
wow! Jealous!
My biggest obstacle is bags of cement that have opened and hardened and other things that are too heavy for me to lift.
My biggest obstacle is that we keep accepting tools from family members & have several duplicates of tools. I hate to let anything go if it was given to me.
The biggest obstacle I have with getting my garage organized is all of my husband’s tools and fishing gear! He has only a small portion of it ‘organized’ and it just drives me crazy!
The kids outdoor toys, scooters etc have taken over our garage. Of course it’s also the dumping place for anything we take out of the house but aren’t quite ready to part with yet.
A husband that won’t throw anything out. Our garage is atrocious and since nothing has as set place, stuff is always a mess.
Our biggest obstacle is my husband has to have his work car at home along with our other cars so not enough room for all the other things that go in a garage! This looks like a great solution to lots of garages!
Just the shear volume of 50 years of accumulated things is my biggest obstacle in organizing my garage
What is my biggest problem when it comes to organizing my garage?? I would have to say that my biggest problem would have to be my wonderful wife. Not that she’s in way when I’m trying to organize or anything but it’s all that “stuff” that she gives me to store “temporarily” in our shed. When I got the shed I had dreams of a tidy storage space and maybe even a small cozy workplace. Somewhere I could put my grinder and a vice on a little table so I could sharpen the lawn mower blades or axes and hoes. But she came up with all this stuff that she wanted to store for a little while for a yard sale. Hmm, yard sale?? Sounds good but I can’t help but wonder just how big this yard sale is going to be?? I can’t even get in the door anymore for all the yard sale stuff. This storage rack would at least get my stuff out from under her pile so I could find it when I need it.
My biggest obstacle is being bombarded by very large items stored all over the ground. My husband cleared half the garage for me to park my car, but the other half seemingly suffocates me 🙂
My biggest obstacle is the wife and kids. I’m a neat freak.
My biggest obstacle is too much stuff, don’t know where to start!
Our garage is a mess!!! We have a HUGE garage but the floor space is maxed out with piles and piles of disorganized junk! The wall space needs utilized!
Our biggest obstacle is finding what we are looking for when we need it. We have container after container stacked but we don’t know what’s in each. Granted that’s an easy fix, but time consuming to sort and redistribute.
The biggest obstacle is space!
Organizing tools and kids toys. Bike storage too
My biggest issue is bikes and scooters. I wish there was a way to keep them organized and out of the way, but still easily accessible for my kids!
coriwestphal at msn dot com
Definitely the lack of storage for getting things out of the way.
Everybody’s sporting goods and outdoor toys.
My biggest obstacle is that we have a lot of stuff and we are not that good at keeping up with all of it.
Great idea. I am a tool collector so need heaps of space
My biggest obstacle is just stacking stuff up against the walls or in piles and then not being able to find anything. I swear we have the tools but if we can’t find them and really need them we end up buying more!
My biggest garage obstacle is my mother’s things! She had a stroke and is in a nursing facility; I stored her possessions (what is left) in our 2 car garage. There is only a tiny path, somedays, to the kids’ bikes and the freezer. Don’t know how to begin to organize the garage.
What to do with all those garden tools like rakes and shovels is one of my biggest challenges. They get leaned up against the walls, knocked over, and take up space. There is just too much un organized stuff in the garage!
Our biggest obstacle is all the tools in our garage and let’s not get started on all of the kid’s things that accumulate! 🙂
the biggest obstacle is everyone just leaving stuff willy-nilly in the garage.
