If you love fonts, I’m sure you’ve heard of the blog Kevin and Amanda. It’s font heaven over there, full of free fonts……not to mention full of delectable recipes and incredible photography!!
I was beyond excited when Amanda contacted me recently about a fun project she was working on! She asked if she could turn MY handwriting into a font! How cool is THAT? (not really sure any one would actually WANT my handwriting, but sure! why not!) She was gathering the handwriting of several different bloggers, and was going to offer them in a free downloadable bundle…… all for a great cause.
Amanda lives in Alabama and has seen the heartache and destruction from the recent tornadoes. She created this fun bundle of fonts hoping that if you enjoy them, that you might donate to Toomer’s for Tuscaloosa.
Toomer’s for Tuscaloosa provides immediate relief to the residents of North Alabama affected by the April 27th, 2011 tornadoes. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and the generous outpouring of people all over the country Toomer’s for Tuscaloosa is now a nationwide grassroots network. In 2 short weeks we have expanded from covering the Tuscaloosa area to providing support to communities and individuals across the whole of northern Alabama from Mississippi to Georgia…….The organization says, “We will not rest until every person affected by this tornado has access to the assistance they need.”
Take a peak at a few of the blogger fonts included in the package (See if you can guess which one is mine)
**hint – hover your mouse over the handwriting to see who it belongs to.

That was really fun!!! And I love your handwriting! 🙂 Isn’t it weird to see your own handwriting as a font?!?
What an awesome idea!! Love seeing all of you guys handwriting!!
Love the handwriting Font! Great idea! Wanda
what a great idea! I already love her site – handwritten fonts are so cute!
This was so fun! I loved seeing all of your handwritings. I need to work on mine:)
Way too much fun!!
Great idea and a wonderful cause. I wonder how many of the bloggers who participated in this with Kevin and Amanda will actually use their own fonts on their own blogs! I think it would be neat to see each of your posts in your own hand-writing, it would be like getting a personal letter from you everyday!
That would be fun, but the thing is, unless you had that font on your computer, you wouldn’t see it, unless I wrote a post and put it up as a picture.
But I do plant to try and use my font in a few fun ways!!
Such a fun idea!
It is really fun. handwritten fonts are very impressive. We can play with our kids.
