Clean Feels Good

I’ll be honest, a clean home makes me happy. When the house is clean I feel less stress, more motivated and well, it just puts me in a good mood! Clean feels good!
It doesn’t always have to be the whole house because let’s face it unless you live alone, a 100% clean house doesn’t happen too often. But little things can make me feel just as good. Like having all the laundry folded and put away, clutter picked up, an organized desk with no stacks or piles on it, or a clean kitchen. My number one rule is to always do dinner dishes as soon as we finish dinner – never go to bed with a sink full of dishes. Nothing feels better than waking up to a clean kitchen, even if that just means, a clean sink with no dirty dishes.
When I worked outside the home, I would often allow enough time to pick up the house in the morning before I would leave, sometimes I would even vacuum. It’s amazing what a mood changer it is to walk into a clean house at the end of the day, instead of opening the door to more work that needed to get done.
Ok, I could go on and on about how good cleaning makes me feel – I’ve told you about how I keep our bathrooms clean in just 5 minutes each day. Have I ever told you my husband is the one who insists that the bed be made every day and he’s usually the one to make it 😉 That’s his clean feels good moment each day!

I was thinking I needed my kitchen tidy to feel good about the day! Sure makes a difference! Hope to make the twitter party!
I really need to get my kitchen this clean! You have inspired me.
Clean feels soooo good! It’s amazing how much better I feel about everything when my house is clean!
Seriously such a beautiful space!
Your kitchen looks so clean and amazing!! I love the feeling of a clean house. It’s the best!!
xox
The older I get the more I need my house to be clean. It really does make life less stressful.
Impeccable timing! I just started my Christmas cleaning today…which means sorting, purging and organizing every closet and cabinet. I don’t want to have to worry about more than basic cleaning once December rolls around and so getting hyper organized now means I won’t be searching for our glasses and extra linens the week before Christmas. There’s a certain satisfaction for me to know that every inch of a room is organized and clean.
I love a clean house!
I’m always so much happier when my house is clean, I just don’t make it a priority at times — but clean feels sooo good!
I love it when my house is clean but it seems almost impossible to keep it that way. Speaking of which…I’m cleaning up my kitchen counters now 🙂
If the house is not clean, I feel frazzled and frustated and in a bad mood. I keep the house is in order so that I can do what I love like quilting and spending time with my family happily and with a clear conscience.
I love a clean house, but the kitchen, is a must, mouthing worse than getting up to no coffee ready and dishes in the sink. Hope to have time for Twitter party.
A clean kitchen and a living room when you enter the house isn’t cluttered!
I feel clean is staying organized, everything in its place. Makes it so easy to “clean” in a flash.
Ahhhh – there is nothing like that feeling when everything is CLEAN. Each night when the dishes are done, the floors are mopped & counters polished after a busy day – I can sit in my chair & enjoy. Love that.
A clean house just makes me happy! I’m filled with anxiety when the house is a mess… and with four young children, it’s sort of always a mess! Ha!! I have a thing for clean counters and clean floors. We don’t wear shoes in our house, so any crumbs on the floor drive me a bit crazy! Love all of your cleaning tips, Cheryl! Keep them coming! xo
Clean DOES feel good, it’s so true. I will try to make the party tomorrow for some holiday inspiration! I’m gonna need it!
Beautiful kitchen Cheryl. I’m a neat freak although my kitchen is a huge mess right now and I’m putting off cleaning it until tonight so I can fit in a bike ride instead. I have the same refrigerator as you and I love it. Your kitchen is gorgeous. I don’t twitter because I can’t figure out how to balance another social media, but I’m sure you guys will have fun. Thanks for sharing! Cristin
We are doing renovations to our home and it is a MESS. I retired approx. 1-1/2 years ago and I dedicated myself with getting everything in order and clean. You can write your name on the dust in my living room. I also have a vanity and a toilet in the same room. I am going crazy!!!!! They grouted my bathroom floor today and the doors are all up and the floors installed in the other 3 bedrooms. Hopefully the plumber will be here on Thursday to get that stuff out of my living room and the carpenters to finish the trim. I actually miss cleaning my home and having a clean home. As soon as I get the okay, it will be cleaned and orderly again – can’t wait.
I couldn’t agree more, there’s no better feeling than the few moments after you just finished cleaning your house. I only wish it stayed clean longer!
I’ve always found the psychological benefits of a clean, neat home to be huge! A clean, orderly environment makes me so much happier and more productive.
I wish I could afford to take a week off and super clean the house. I love neat and clean!!
Love it when my kitchen is clean!! So glad my kids are old enough now that I can enlist their help with little kitchen chores to help keep on top of things. 🙂
When people ask what I want for my birthday or Christmas, I always tell them I’d like someone to come clean the house from top to bottom. Just once. I want the fully clean house. With six of us in a tiny space, it is never clean, and most of my time is spent managing a moderate level of chaos. Deep cleaning is a dream and not reality. You’re right about it making you feel relaxed, though. It’s so calming and soothing for this Type A soul.
Looks so nice!!
amen! I LOVE a clean house, I just wish it would last longer – my husband took the kids for 10 days to visit family and I think my favorite part of that week was the CONSTANTLY CLEAN HOUSE! 🙂
oh it’s perfect .I like it very much 🙂
