I’ve had some really amazing giveaways this holiday season for all of you………and I have one last one that I’m SOOO excited to share with you!
The people at Canon asked me to give the Canon EOS Rebel T4i a spin AND giveaway one away to one very lucky TidyMom reader!
A good camera is the holy grail to blogging and for most moms! I couldn’t imagine taking pictures with a point and shoanymoreore. Once I learned the ins and outs of shooting manually it just becomes second nature (not to say I’m not still learning, because there’s still SO much for me to learn). But having a big girl camera where I can control how much light my camera sees, makes my photos infinitely better.
I had to get a shot of my baby boy! It’s hard to believe Cullen will turn 4 years old on Christmas Eve!
The Canon EOS Rebel T4i delivers 18 megapixels of professional grade image quality in a compact, lightweight, feature-filled, easy-to-use body that carries a very affordable price tag.
While you dream up what all you can do with a new fancy pants camera take a look at what all this beauty has to offer:
Canon introduces the most sophisticated Rebel ever—the EOS Rebel T4i DSLR! Built to make advanced photography simple and fun, the new Rebel T4i delivers phenomenal image quality, high performance, and fast, intuitive operation. This EOS Rebel amps up the speed with the powerful DIGIC 5 Image Processor that helps make high-speed continuous shooting of up to 5.0 fps possible—great for capturing fast action. An 18.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor ensures that every image is shot in superb, high resolution; and an extended ISO range of 100-12800 gives photographers the opportunities to take the Rebel T4i into more shooting situations than ever before. A 9-point all cross-type AF system (including a high-precision dual cross f/2.8 center point) delivers improved autofocus performance. For users interested in creating impressive videos, the Rebel T4i is ready to help you create your next masterpiece. First ever for an EOS Rebel, the Rebel T4i features a Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II, which allows fast and intuitive camera operation. Add compatibility with Canon’s proven EF and EF-S lenses and a slew of EOS accessories, the Rebel T4i is an incredibly versatile tool for creating the images and videos you envision.
Pretty awesome huh?!
Here’s are a few of pictures I’ve been taking with the EOS Rebel T4i:
I really wanted to try out the higher ISO. There’s a little bit of noise at ISO 6400 but not bad. This was taken at nearly 5pm in my kitchen with not much light left.
We had one of our family Christmas parties this weekend, and I got a nice shot of the Christmas tree with a ISO of 5000. Again, a little noise but allowed me to get a nice moody Christmas tree picture without an flash.
Next up, I had to get a shot of the amazing Mile High Caramel Apple pie we had from the Blue Owl Cafe in Kimswick, MO ~they ship 😉 If you’d like to try and make one…… good ‘ol Paula Deen has a recipe for Savannah High Apple Pie.
I bought a gorgeous new Christmas wreath for our front door this year, at Lowes.
Pepper said she’s tired of Cullen getting all the blog glory, she was happy to give a quick little pose for me outside today.
The Canon EOS Rebel T41 is one of the most popular entry level DSLR cameras on the market. It is lightweight, and I’m in love with the 9 cross-type focusing points and the touch screen option, which has a similar interface as my iphone and is very user friendly. No, worry if you don’t like touch screens – you are free to use the physical buttons if you wish. The Canon Rebel T4i is also designed to use the new STM lenses which are able auto focus smoothly and quietly for video, meaning no loud noise while focus is made!
I haven’t given the video a try yet, but I plan to use it on Christmas morning 😉
If you are a beginner to the DSLR world, the Canon EOS Rebel T4i is a great option for the entry into the world of DSLR photography or a great upgrade from an older model camera.

Would love the T4, great camera!
My kids! I always like creating memory books for them to have when they are older.
I love picture taking!
My beagle. 🙂
I love taking pictures of my son & pets. And projects, flowers, day care kids, food, and just about anything! 🙂
I would love to take quality pictures of my three children doing what they love most ~ taekwondo, volleyball, dance & soccer!
I love taking photos of things that other people find “ugly.”
I’d love a new camera to take pictures of neice and nephews for their parents!
Love, love love taking pictures of my family!!
I love taking pictures of all my kids; the two legged and four legged variety.
I enjoy cooking and baking so that’s what I end up taking pictures of. I’d love to win this camera for my little sister – she doesn’t have a nice camera and she enjoys taking pictures so much!
Merry Christmas and pictures all year round to remind me of the beautiful days we have.
Landscapes, especially when I travel!
i love taking pictures of my family!!
This would be a great upgrade from my Canon T1i. I’m ready for higher ISO and would love to take that awesome video capability for a drive!
I volunteer at my children’s elementary school and last year I took over as the schools yearbook coordinator. It is a LOT of work, pretty much by myself and a bulk of this work is getting great pictures of the kids and staff. I love being able to be at their school and this is a great way that I have been able to get involved and volunteer my time. I have an old camera, but there is no money in the school budget for anything new. I had no previous background in anything such as this, but I have enjoyed it so much. A new camera like the Cannon EOS Rebel 4Ti would make this even more enjoyable!
I love the memories that pictures bring.
I love to take pics of my friends and the wildlife that I see when riding my airboat.
I heart taking pictures of food, of course!
WOW! How exciting! My husband and his four brothers all moved back to their hometown with their families…. which means LOTS of fun family get-togethers. With 11 kids total (three of them are mine) I’d keep this camera pretty busy.
I wish I could replace the baby pictures and kindergarden graduation that was stolen with my camera, but if I won, I would take pictures every day and make up for the loss in no time.
I just LOVE taking pictures of my son and I have a daughter on the way ( 1.5 weeks away). I am looking forward to doing her newborn photos!
Wow. What a fantastic Christmas gift that would be!
I love taking pictures of my dogs. However they both have black fur coats so it is really difficult to get a good picture of them unless we’re outside and the sun is out. I’d love to have a camera like this to mess with the settings and get some beautiful shots 🙂
Love taking outdoor scenery and my kids’ pic!
I love taking pictures of food!
MY KIDDOS (:
I love taking pictures of my travels with my husband
My children! I am always snapping pictures of my babes!
I love taking pics because its a way to save precious memories forever

I love taking photos of my six month old! He is constantly changing. I love looking back at pictures to see how much/fast he has grown.

I love taking pictures of my kids
I love photography, I love to take photos of my baking, dogs, kids, outdoors
taking pictures of my family so I never forget how fast my little ones are growing.
I like to take pictures of nature best, but since I’m yearbook sponsor, I tend to take a lot of sports pictures, too.
My son just got engaged and I am definitely due for an upgrade (+ video) I don’t want to miss a thing at what I know will be a beautiful wedding 😉
My daughter of course! Nothing cuter, sweeter, more photo worthy than that!
I would be thrilled to have a nice camera to take photos of my kids! I love how awesome these photos turn out!!
