Visiting San Francisco and Stitch Fix

A few weeks ago, my daughter Allison and I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to San Francisco to meet all the wonderful people at Stitch Fix.  It was our first time in San Francisco and we had so much fun!

Stitch Fix, an online personal styling service for women, is one of our favorite ways to shop for clothes, so we were thrilled to have the chance to see how it all works!

San Francisco Bound!!

Everything was incredible, from seeing the Stitch Fix Headquarters and meeting the buyers and stylist to getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the fixes are styled and shipped, and all the wonderful people involved every step of the way!

**when we walked into the Stitch Fix offices Allison whispered to me, “This is what my heaven must be like” lol……not only is she a teenage (17) year old girl who love clothes, but she’s headed off to college next year to get a degree in marketing and pr.  To say she was excited about this trip is an understatement!

Stitch Fix Head Quarters

We stayed four glorious nights in a beautiful townhouse in Nob Hill with bloggers (and sisters) Traci of Beneath My Heart and Cyndi of Walking in Grace in Beauty, where we shared lots of chatting, laughing and bonding. It was a blast and I was so honored to have been included.

It was so fun getting to know these two, we all clicked like we had known each other forever.  The trip would not have been the same with out them!

Our first morning was a little rainy, but we didn’t let that stop us from walking a few blocks to the Stitch Fix Headquarters.  It was a fun first look at the city, and we even hopped on a cable car and picked up coffee and breakfast.

Walking thru San Francisco

As soon as we arrived at the Stitch Fix HQ we were greeted by a lot of excitement and enthusiasm!  We got to sit in on a Flash meeting and see a lot of the new spring clothes! Then we each got to style one another.    Allison and I had to tell the group why we selected the pieces we chose for each other, and Cyndi and Traci did the same.  Those two were a hoot with all their sister love! lol  Traci was always pointing out that she is the YOUNGER sister! haha!

Flash at Stitch Fix with Bloggers

After the flash meeting, we learned how to make the style cards that come in each Stitch Fix box.

We all had to style the same top two ways…….can you guess who styled which card?

Hints:  1) The teenager  2) The neat freak  3) The younger sister  4) The older sister  😉

After lunch we got to peek at some of the new jewelry and chat with the buyers!

We were lucky to have Michael Bisig, a photographer hang out with us at HQ t shooting us all day so we could enjoy ourselves and not worry about getting pictures.  We ended the day with a surprise photo shoot!!  Mike was so much fun and we all joked about how we had paparazzi following us around the streets of San Francisco! lol  We all tried to act like we knew what we were doing……….it was so windy and at the end of a long day I think we all were a little slap happy! lol

I’m sure I’ve bombarded you with a enough pictures for today…….I’ll share our trip to the warehouse aka the “Hizzy” with you soon.  They actually put us to work!! we picked, folded, packed and shipped fixes and chatted with employees about day-to-day operations. – let me just tell you………these Stitch Fix people know how to have fun!!

What is Stitch Fix

If you are unfamiliar with  Stitch Fix, it’s a personalized styling service. You create a style profile by answering several questions about yourself and then schedule a “fix” to be sent to your home. A stylist then selects five items they think you will love to send your way based on your style profile.

The styling fee is $20 per fix but you can apply that toward the item(s) you want to buy.  Try everything on at home, and only pay for what you want to keep (get 25% off if you keep it all)! You have 3 days to send back what you don’t love (in the prepaid envelope they’ve included) and tell Stitch Fix why—the stylists will make sure your next Fix is even better.  You can read about my first Stitch Fix here.

My favorite way to shop for clothes!

Allison and I received our 10th Stitch Fix just a few days after we arrived home…….I was super excited to receive the reversible red and navy handbag we all coveted during the flash meeting and a cute maxi dress I kept. I would love to hear if you subscribe to Stitch Fix and what your favorite shipment has been.

Thanks again to Cotille and the whole  Stitch Fix team for working so hard to make it a wonderful Stitch Fix vacay!
