I L-O-V-E all my Whirlpool appliances – and I have a house full of them! Ten years ago, after we relocated to North Carolina from California and had to remodel the (whole) house, I put Whirlpool’s Kitchenaid appliances on the very TOP of my wish-list. Superba Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave, Gas (LP/convection) Range… Check, Check, Check, Check and Check! I even added a Cabrio washer and dryer set! Now there’s the ICE line and I cannot think of anything that would fit into my clean, all-white kitchen better!

I didn’t specify any name for the board you create in my post, and the official rules state: create a Whirlpool Holiday Pin It to Win It Board (hereinafter “Board”) on Pinterest and categorize the Board as Holidays & Events
You just need to name your board something related to Whirlpool Holiday pin it to win it or Whirlpool Holiday Inspiration – what ever name that conveys that message

Thanks for posting this contest. So much fun! Any excuse to peruse Pinterest. I would love the White Ice fridge. We are in the process of building and this would be perfect (actually the entire collection would be perfect!) in our new white kitchen. I just stumbled upon your blog and love it! I happen to be looking up a garlic bread recipe this morning and found your recipe (which I will be making tonight and now following your blog!).
We (my husband, baby and I) are hoping to be in our new home soon. I am so looking forward to decorating for the holidays next year. We have been living with my in-laws (yes, even with the new baby) since our house flooded in September of 2011. We didn’t want to move back to our new house (since this happened to be our second flood). So we finally decided to build on property that we bought when we first got married (and this land is nowhere near a flood zone! ) I have been researching on Pinterest and the internet for products/ideas etc for our new home. This White Ice Collection from Whirlpool is perfect!

The contest rules say to pin 5-10 Christmas inspirations items but the winning board had much more than just 10. Bothered a bit by that as I would have posted many more pins if I knew. It was really hard to pare it down to just 10 inspirations to stay within the rules so it’s frustrating to see that it didn’t matter in the end and I could have had more.

I am confused that the winner was chosen based on the amount of pins on their board, they have 82 total pins and the rules clearly state 5 – 10 product pins and 5 – 10 holiday pins, so how is this fair?? I would have made such a better board and pinned way more pins than I did, but I had to omit some things because I didn’t want to stray from the rules and be disqualified. I am really tired of contests bending their rules and just choosing who they want regardeless of the guidelines they posted. I am sure others and myself could have had a shot of winning if we were able to pin more than 20 total pins. This seems very misleading and for such a generous prize, I would think rules would be rules!
The minimum was 5-10 and boards with more pins were judged just the same as boards with the minimum amount of pins – number of pins was not part of the judging, it was only a qualifications to have at least that many.
There were 2 rounds of voting. By 2 separate panels from Whrilpool, and I was included in the final round of voting – so no one person had a say in what board won. Votes were calculated and the board with the highest amount of points won.
Who won? I was so hoping it was me!
